Sure, I own both yet my PS3 has dust on it. I think that shows the quality of games they produce.

I wondered if it's time to take the plunge and get a PS3. £299 LBP bundle with Far Cry 2.

Far Cry 2 is so much better on the PC.
While I do agree that they are reasons to get a PS3, Far Cry 2 is certainly not one of them.
Also, I believe Far Cry 2 for the PC has already its share of custom mods, weapons, missions etc released for it. Even Intel [http://game-on.intel.com/eng/games/farcry2/missiondownload/default.aspx] themselves jumped the bandwagon on that.

Personally, I don't think it's worth the 400?. We Europeans really got pooch-screwed by SONY. The only PS3 that s available is the most expensive 80GB one. SONY has always had a fucked up sense of pricing their shit (Is the PSP still more expensive than the Xbox360 Arcade?) and they've screwed us Europeans over for so long I'm having a hard time recommending their hardware right now.

Maybe Sony will realize eventually that they haven't been shitting out gold bricks with their consoles and finally lower the price on the PS3. Perhaps that day I'd actually concidering buying one.
