Does anyone remember the ps1 and the N64? In a time, these things were the pinacle of gaming, the cutting edge of hardware, Their games which had graphics that had until that time never been seen before.
Then came the Ps2, the xbox and the gamecube. and suddenly those were the most awesome game consoles ever. The graphics of their games were near lifelike. Their games were unique. they brought gaming to a level that was almost unimaginable at that time. And during all this, the ps1 and N64 faded to obscurity.
Now, we have the PS3, the Xbox 360 and the wii. Gamecube had died out long a go, xbox is now dead and gone, while the ps2 still has some fight left in it, not willing to fade away like the others of the past.
What I'm trying to say is, why bother buying current consoles when they will be rendered obsolete once the next generation of games comes out? Will anyone even remember these guys once the xbox720, ps4 and whatever-the-hell-nintendo-releases comes out?
