What, people don't watch the full movie to see how it ends?
This must be why they never really make the movie past the cumshot.

I guess i'm one of the few people who sit back and wonder if the pizza boys boss will get angry at him for beeing back from his delivery 20 minnutes late :p

Also, get a secondary monitor, then you can jerk while raiding. It's not like it takes mroe than 1 hand to keep spamming your dps cycle.

There is no way porn will die. And no way any game would make me stop or forget to watch porn. Even if u are a super geek who dreams comic books and has arthritis from playing games u will still watch porn!!! And by the amount of new porn videos released each week im not so sure about the struggling industrie. Its more like the newcomers are struggling cuz the old stars dont wanna give their spots away.

p.p: It will be a very sad day if porn dies cuz of a game...

"No time to fap... must Loooooot!"

See the entire basis of the porn industry is providing what the mainstream cannot offer because with the mainstream it is effectively democracy with veto power, and by veto power I mean one person writes a "letter of outrage" to a newspaper or a few people wave some placards and you are forced to cater to the lowest common denominator.

But with the presence of the internet, ALL MEDIA is moving away from the mainstream.

I know that sounds counter-intuitive, isn't the mainstream defined as where everyone is? No, mainstream is a NARROW media where everyone is such as the 5 main channels or top ten newspapers.

With the vastness of the internet and the ability to find and pick out exactly what you want, everyone can live in the tributaries of the river of knowledge.

So porn itself is not going away... merely the industry of catering for an audience they assume is trapped in the mainstream.

Porn won't die... but the industry will.

Because the industry is trying to solve a problem that no longer exists of how the mainstream media (TV, movies, newspapers, etc) must appeal to the lowest common denominator, and porn is one of those things that one half want yet the other half hate. Porn is the weak point in the entire idea that the mainstream media is enough for anyone.

Basically the porn industry for decades has been trying to do what the internet is naturally good at... providing a very narrow, selected and private media product that you have to search out and consume at a whim.

I mean amateur porn is in many ways more adapted than "professional" porn if you look at it from the perspective of evolutionary adaptation. Better to have thousands of iterations trying slight variations at random than a single "designer" or "director" trying to analyse a solution. On the internet, the amature video that does it "right" gets the most hits, the most ad revenue, the more Google links and rises to the top, inspiring imitations and further "evolution" from there.

That applies for couples who film themselves doing the nasty in the pasty and since we're talking the future, what about CGI and art? I mean have you heard of Deviant Art? You may not have heard of Rule 34 but I guarantee you it is as rock solid as Moore's Law or any law of physics.

Wow it'd be great to see the porn industry start demonstrations against addictive video games purely to see concerned, over bearing mothers rubbing.... shoulders with striking and out of work porn actresses.

it just goes to show that anytime something goes wrong the imeadeate response of anyone over the age of 40 is to blame video games, its a reflex thats rapidly replacing the knee-jerk...

Whats Rule 34? :O
Oh if you don't know already... you don't want to know.

I'll tell you anyway! >:D

Rule 34 states that for everything that exists, there is a pornographic version of it. It could be an officially made pornographic production or it could just be a fan drawing.

For example, the 2010 movie Avatar is a "thing" yet on the internet, somewhere, someone has drawn a pornographic depiction of the characters or universe. Just type "avatar navi porn" into Google Image search (with Safe Search Filter set to 'off') and you'll see what I mean... though I do not recommend this to the faint hearted.

Broader definitions include written work like Slash-Fiction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slash_fiction) which would be where all those "Kirk loves Spock" rumours come from.

I mean there is even a live action example of Rule 34 for the children's film "E.T: The Extra Terrestrial"... all with adults of course but that doesn't mean it isn't disturbing as fuck... no pun intended.

Other areas like nude mods for video games like Tomb Raider, or politician look-alikes doing porno like that weird Sarah Palin porno fad and photo-shops of well known people being another common one. There is even a Rule 34 of Hitler(!) made in WWII for propaganda purposes to discredit him using photo composites.

The working premise is that it is a game of numbers, there are a LOT of people in the world who have access to the internet, only 0.001% need to have an interest and the will and the way the internet works, anyone able to submit, anyone able to find anything and multiply it endlessly, just reinforces Rule 34.

In practice, Rule 34 only works for well known things like movies, books and major historical events, as the more people who know about a certain subject the more likely someone will try to recreate a pornographic version of it.

Just name a film or well known subject - any one - and you can probably find a porn version of it.

Honestly I could care less about the porn industry suffering. Not every studio or website practices safe methods or does screens to prevent the spread of STD's, and AIDS is still a very real threat to humanity. Not to mention at last count one in five adults in the US has herpes, and that's some scary stuff.

Just my humble opinion, but wild, reckless sex between strangers usually ends up in pregnancy, STD's, and/or feelings of self loathing, unless of course you are a nympho/suffer from satyriasis.

Well I remember hearing something that the internet was 90% porn? Well because of online gameing I think that went down to about 88.4%.

So not that much of a threat..not that much.

Porn's suffering because of all the awesome free porn sites, not the gaming industry. Who wants to pay 9.95 a month (or 4.95 a minute on the phone) when you can hit up youporn, redtube, or pornhub and watch basically anything for free?

Gaming and porn coexist, imo. Hot honeys in games get gamers (read: me) all hot and bothered, then during long, lonely loadtimes (heh) we (I) dash off to the computer to curb my (erm... their) so-called enthusiasm. Games do the same thing porn does: allow people to fantasize. They are, in essence, both escapism, for escapists. (heyyo!)

I...
Don't...
Think so!

You know what people had before video games? Friends! Jobs! Families! Home repair! Shopping! An invigorating game of chess!!

It is COMPLETE nonsense to say that some new phenomena (in this case video games) has somehow sapped the porn industry. But if they are worried, here is some advice...

When humans learned to draw... they drew 'fertile' women.

When humans learned how to create photographs... they took pictures of naked women.

When humans learned how to make video and DVD... they filmed naked women.

Humans have learned how to generate interactive media... What are you waiting for porn industry?

You see an untapped media? Get on it!!!

That can be taken SO many ways...

Seriously, porn and games fighting each other for a person's viewing pleasure? I wonder who will win?

As sad and pathetic as that is, I think hes right, but got to say Bloodelves...

OT: there will always be porn, but maybe no porn industry, since indy and home grown free porn is all over the Internet.

There are many coincidences in life. Sometimes there is simply the appearance of coincidence. Sometimes... Someone intentionally whips it out, slams it down on the table, and says, "Do you see this pun right here? Yeah, I showed it to your mother last night."

As for a competition... I think the appeal of porn will outlive 'gaming' in its current form, and any other media that seeks to supplant it. A battle of attrition will simply result in the smutty digging into the trenches until they can rise up again and conquer the barren lands.
