I recently finished Prey, and loved it, but it left me with a huge cliff hanger. I got curious about a sequel, but the latest information I could find was from early 2008.
So I wondered, Is the game still in developement after what happened to 3DRealms? Is there still hope?
And what would you like to see in Prey 2? Discuss.

Cliffhanger?

This is going wayy back, but dont you become the leader of the alien race thingy? Prey 2 would become a massivly different game if it was played by the same character.

Was a good game though, however much people hated it. I enjoyed Quake 4 single player aswell, I like just running around shooting aliens with overpowered guns with no storyline from time to time.

No, you
fly the Sphere into the sun(after you became the leader, as you stated correctly) and meet your Gradfather in the spirit world but you don't die. Then after the credits(!) you are six months later in the rebuilt casino and the woman from the rebels opens a portal and tells you that 'others' have noticed you and so on, you go through the portal into a star-field-wormhole-whatever and it says the story will continue...
I'd say that is a massive cliffhanger.

Prey was in development for about ten years. Don't hold your breath.

I like half life as much as anything else but not every game with a cliffhanger ending is a Half-Life ripoff.

Really? I didn't know that. Maybe I made that comment because both endings involved the main character being taken to far off worlds that need his combat services. The only difference is that Tommy didn't have a one sided choice.
