*Cookie for the reference*

I just watched that episode, got the idea for the thread, searched it, and found nothing.

So, who/what was your childhood companion? Weather it be a toy, stuffed animal, or some other inanimate object. What kind of "person" was he/she?

Mine was actually my pillow (whose name was "Pillow". I know, I was so damn original). Its personality closely resembled the Magic Carpet from Alladin, in that it "communicated" through wiggles and "hand" gestures.

Props to you for one of the most original topic I've seen in awhile on here....

Mine was a lizard made of beads...It only lasted for like a week before I was like "O.k. I feel dumb talking to this thing, time to put it under my bed and forget about it"

Ed, Edd, ad Eddy reference, eh?

I don't explicitly remember having a childhood companion, but I did have a lot of plushies.

When I was really, really young (like toddler or maybe younger), I had a stuffed bear that I loved to death. It had a wind up thing in it's back, and it would play music. I kept it with me every night when I went to sleep for a long time. lol

I think I still have it somewhere.

I never had an imaginary friend; just a lot of imaginary arch-enemies who wanted to kill me for my treasure.

I had a white stuffed bear named Snowy. Thing stayed with me for the better part of 6 years, until I got head lice (TWICE) and it had to be burned. I cried.

Now I just have my enormous stuffed cheetah (whose name is now Yahtzee, as he speaks in a snarky British accent and demands to be fed on zehbras).

Honestly, my room is full of dragons, dragon paraphernalia, a couple beanie babies, and some disturbingly anatomically accurate plastic animals that were supposedly children's toys ('Cause apparently the tiger needed balls for the kids who would no doubt be gnawing on them). They all stay on their shelves, though I've had most of the BBs for a REALLY long time.

I never did talk to any of them really, I had other people in my head. The one I spoke to the most was a catgirl (I was like, 7 when I started my 'friendship'? with her) who looks disturbingly like Felicity from Dreamland Chronicles, but less like plastic. I can't remember her very well, but she was more or less the only friend I had for awhile while I was still an emotionally stunted and bullied kid.

Instead I sleep with a foot long throwing knife. I don't talk to it, it has yet to speak to me, but it's wonderfully reassuring.

I have a stuffed tiger named Hobbes. Anyone know where that's from? (You all probably do but lets see.)

My childhood companion was my stuffed Panda with a Santa hat that I named fluffles when I could talk. Yep, it was my first stuffed animal that I actually still have to this day. Other than that I was like how Linus from the Peanuts was with a blanket, but my parents threw it out because it was getting moldy. I took it everywhere.

I had a stuffed dog, called Peepie that I was given when I was born. His head came off like a million times. I also had a hand made clown called Stieglitz, he's still around, my daughter plays with him.

Evil Tim beckons you all!

OT: I had a blanket that was solid blue on one side and decorated with lambs on the other. I had it turned into a pillow at age 10 because my mom refused to let me keep it in any other form, and I could only bear to part with it after I moved to college.

Edit:

Only from the best newspaper comic series since Peanuts. Watterson was a master.

I didn't have a childhood companion. Even then, I was pretty lonely.

I had/have a monkey. His name is Monkey. He still travels with me in my suitcase or ruck-sack as some sort of lucky charm.

I had a foot high (ish) mouse which my genius 3-4 year old self called Mousey. It carried a little sack around which it slept in but the it fell off, I can't remember why. I do remember it having the softest, silkiest little elf boots though.

...My new house feel empty without him... We played monopoly and he always won. Good times...

His name is Slush, and he is the heir to a glorious, fluffy empire. He lives in the mountains with his father, Balto, the Ice God, as they both work to thwart the evil plans of Corbra, the Fire Serpent. However, his brother, Bazil, is trying to steal his seat for the throne, and is attempting to incur a rebellion among all the Berg-dwellers. Slush has the ability to command the North winds, and chill his foes to the bone!

And if you are still wondering, yes, I still have him, and I am never giving him up! NEVER!
