Honestly, the reference completely passed my mind until you brought up just now. I still don't really care, however. Seriously, I can understand the emotions around 9/11, but you American's seem to treat it as though Al Qaeda nuked half your country away when the Twin Towers fell, and seem to want everyone else to care just as excessively about it when we have no reason or care to.

Stop bringing it the fuck up. Please.
I live in New York, but I dont get offended by 9/11 stuff. Even if this was true, it wouldnt bother me. What DOES bother me is the way you worded your response. I get your point, but dont say you americans like all of us are the same. Considering we are the most not the same than any country in the world, its very ignorant.
As noted in a previous post, I realize my wording was a little generalizing in tone off the bat, but that was mostly my annoyance at the upbringing of the topic once again (especially when attempted to be connected to Pokemon, of all things). So, I do apologize for that small error, sir.

I say get over it, i mean where im from 9/11 was actually on 11/9 anyways. and if every bad event fully taboos an idea or just random numbers chucked together or anything, eventually there will be nothing anybody can say or do ever

...Im not a sir...
But glad to know you did not mean how you said it. I just hate when Americans are generalized, or when the US is incorrectly spoken bad about. (Not saying you cant call it out, but be right)

Everything is offensive today. People just want to feel like they are a victim to something.

The most offensive thing i can find is the article itself. Im an american and i was not offended by this incident, i was however mortified that A LOT OF PEOPLE DIED!!! and not that someone was targeting two very tall buildings. whenever i have read or heard something talk about 9/11 it always sounds like the buildings have more value than all the people that died in the event put together. I would much rather have all the people back than the stupid buildings. yes it sucks that we got attacked but its not like it hasn't happened before or that we didn't retaliate. and i am offended that an article is claiming that it is treating something it finds offensive with delicacy and restrant when the article clearly isn't. hippocracy offends me.

P.S.
I found numbers 9, 6, 3, and 1 hilarious.

But playing devil's advocate: it would be like creating a giant mouse pokemon that uses radiation and atom-themed attacks that resides in a power plant in a map that was 'inspired' by the Russian country side and calling it Chernobylchu.
Your serious poast aside, which I do very much agree with, I thought that this was the most hilarious thing I've read all week.

I don't know. I read the article and it seems like they're pulling any random thing to be offensive. Like there wasn't really anything to truly be pissed about.

The rest of the pictures were more offensive. The pokemon was ok, as it was done a little better then the others. Or mabey it is just because it is the only one that didn't make me throw up a little in my mouth.

I find James Cameron's Titanic to be offensive to all the people who died there.
Also every war or disaster movie ever made!
[/sarcasm]
Actually I think it's nice to have a 9/11 reference. It was an event that shook many people. Why can't the pokemon have an event that shook them too.

.... My mind just went Nuclear and is in slow recovery mode now. Not because of the "insensitivities" but rather the reaction some people take on this, but not you guys. You Escapists ARE AWESOME!!!

This is why people need to be more open minded rather than closed tight in their closet of comfort. We might say it again if raised again, but it's history and long buried too.

A couple years from now we'll look back to the Japanese Earthquake and remark on its destructive nature and what it left behind to the victims and people of the Earth and will go down in history and WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER, whether we want to or not. And then we'll say it to future generations about the tragedy. I know some of the tragedies have already been said a lot by history teachers, or people remarking on the events that took the world by storm. /End rant

OT: No its not offensive, I rather found it as if the developers are poking at Transformers or Godzilla at the very least. XP

Isn't Cracked a you know... humour website? And thus it's main thing to be funny rather then factual? Or should we say to a comedian "That's preposterous! Why would a chicken cross the road!"

I actually have no idea what your talking about, even though I own both games. Quite frankly, I really don't give a damn about it, coincidence or not. WHO THE HELL CARES!!!
Thankyou!

This is POKEMON for heavens sake! I want to see poorly designed monsters beat the crap out of eachother with fireballs and lazers and various other pretty animated colourful stuff! Not shed tears for something that I stopped giving a shit about 10 YEARS AGO.

Quick, someone inform Julie Peasgood so we can hear her screech about it!

Seriously, if you think this is offensive, go to Route 4 and you can catch Jihadeon. It only knows self-destruct. Nintendo went too far with that one.
There's no such thing.
Sandile, Scraggy and Darumaka are up for grabs in route 4, and there is no Pokémon in existence called Jihadeon.

There is a dragon Pokémon called Zweilous whose Japanese name is Jiheddo, but he has nothing to do with self-destructing, or exploding.

In addition, while just a minor technical gripe, Game Freak designs/makes the Pokémon games, not Nintendo.
No shit, Sherlock. It was clearly a joke.
Sandile are cool. I have a Krokorook in my party which could own a Jihadeon any day.

I don't know what is supposed to be so distasteful about this.
It is just a reference, not even a comic one.

Video Games make reference and jokes about the nationalsocialists crime at every given opportunity and noone cares. Why should the simple mentioning of numbers be anything offensive?

Haven't read most of the thread, so it may have been mentioned already, but...

Kyurem isn't even found anywhere near route 4, at all. The meteor story occurs in the very northeast of Unova, in Route 12.

This is just an example of Cracked, who usually are correct with information, not doing the research. I doubt they've even played the game.

Heh... I didn't even notice that. I think that the 9'11" was just a coincidence... or maybe not... but either way, how would it have been offensive? It was supposed to be set up like New York... you can't act like Ground Zero isn't there.

And people... listen. Yeah, it was 10 years ago, but jeeze... at least respect it until no one who can remember it is still around. That's why we can make giant fairground inflatables of the Titanic.

10 years might make a difference to you, who had no family in it. I didn't either. But respect the people who had in any disaster... but I know I'm speaking to a brick wall here...
