personally i don't think there's anything sexual about his obsession. he just likes to kill little girls.

I like to think that he likes control of the mind more than control of the body. His technology is meant to give him henchmen and followers more than lovers and sexual conquests. If anything I'd say he's more of an asexual than other Bat-Villains. Sure, the implication is that he could use his hats and whatnot to have every sex ever but I see him making other people do each other than having him conquer others. That's more Ivy's bag anyway. Then again, I guess it all depends upon who's writing for the guy so I could be the only one who sees him in that way.

Never read him that way myself. Most of the time the Mad Hatter comes across as being very schizophrenic, with an unhealthy obsession for Lewis Caroll's Alice in Wonderland. Hence why he's always looking for "Alice": for what would a "Mad Hatter" be without an "Alice" to contrast to?

It's the world his mind is inseparably attached to. For Jervis Tetch, "Mad Hatter" is more than just a name, it is who he is, if you follow me.
