Is the Bleach cast overcompensating for something?

Before we begin, I would like to say I don't hate Bleach, there's just something I'm noticing as I've been watching it. Okay, so last night I was watching it on Adult Swim and Ichigo is trying to break into the giant white tower to save Rukia. Then he gets stopped by this guy named Renji and Ichigo pulls out his giant sword and goes on his badass monologue. At this point I'm thinking, "Well the other guy has a regular size sword, so he probably does need it's super mega awesome crotch-crunching power; maybe not everyone is as insecure as Ichigo." Then Ichigo emasculates him by pinning him against the wall. In response to this, Renji pulls out an even BIGGER sword which "extends" *wink wink*, all the meanwhile they are standing in front of the giant white tower, which looks suspiciously like a penis. Anyone else noticing this? Again, I don't hate Bleach!

um.... probably not. You;re watching the first few seasons, where they have the hot headed attitude. Its trying to relate and be wat anime was in the United States and in Japan. As it goes deeper and deeper into the series, it gets much better.

Plus the Japanese version is better. I would go see that on youtube and watch it dubbed.

No, it looks like a dragon. You're thinking too much into it. Sometimes, an extendable dragon sword is just an extendable dragon sword...

Really? Cause I thought the Rukia retrieval arc was the best part of the series and that it just got silly from there.

Well, thats opinion. I liked the hueco mundo arc where he finds Nel most. But I dont know, I think it gets more advanced after that.

I'm not sure if I have anything intelligent or funny to say about this,
I guess I can recall the best Bleach crossover cosplay I've ever seen. it was L from death note if he was a shinigami, so he was dressed in a ripped up white shirt dark green armor covered sweats and had a sword shaped and colored like a candy cane.

I suggest you read the manga. Much cooler and no fillers, but anyway I can't wait to hear what you have to say about Ulquiorra :)

No.
Your thinking wayyyyy to much into it.

And as for their swords....
Its just a representation of their Spiritual Power.

Ichigo's is so big because he has so much power, he cant seal his sword like other Soul Reapers.
Renji has a lot of SP too, its just that he has gone through the Soul Reaper Academy and can control his SP a lot better than Ichigo can.

In fact a lot of the other Soul Reapers Zanpakuto are normal sized, its just that once they Release their power, their sword changes into something that reflects that power.

Who's Ulquiorra?
A character that appears after the Rescue Rukia Arc.

Now, I don't want to instigate a flame war, and it might be because I read the manga instead, but it seems that Bleach gets worse in the Fake Karakura (sp?) arc. The slow pacing, the unnatural dialog, the plot that goes nowhere for a year in favor of agonizingly long battles I hate it.

The anime may be better paced though.

Thanks for clearing that up. I realised the white tower he meant wasn't Hueco Muendo. Oh the 3 am blues.

Hahaha!
I know that feeling.

Anyway, i cant wait till the Box Sets get to that part of the series.
I actually really liked the Hueco Muendo Arc.
Plus Nel and Her Brothers are some of the best characters in the Series.

maybe. I'm reading the recent stuff,a nd it seems to be going pretty well. Sometimes it will go through a slow period, but there's a lot of background it tries to explain, or at least introduce more. It wants to create a giant web for any reader to get into.
