The cake is not a lie.
There have been multiple accounts of people getting to it.
And please...use something resembling grammar...
Your opening statement hurt my head meat.
EDIT: Thank you very much for cleaning that up.
Much better.

The participants of the Portal experiment are promised cake at the end of their trial. Instead they are killed. Therefore, the cake is a lie.

The cake is indeed a lie, I'm pretty sure the idea is that at the end you die and your perfect place (ie. Heaven) is where the cake is.

This pretty much sums it up. If it wasn't a lie, they'd be getting it and not be killed.

Also, OT, please use proper grammar and spelling, it's painful and hard to read what you wrote, and it scares people away.

I had the answer but now that I read you horrible grammar all I can think about is tarzan.

I think the cake is not a lie but it probably was poisoned by GLADoS.

and now I'm humming "Still Alive". and It will be stuck in my head for days, CRAP!

The cake is a lie to the people who died because they never got to reach the cake because gladius killed them off so to them the cake was a lie.

and use the search bar, we see this thing every other week,

The cake was the only thing that wasn't a lie. The guy who wrote that was not a reliable source.

The cake is made for when the test ends, maybe to keep morale up for the staff. Tests always end in death and then cake so GLADOS uses cake as a euphemism for death.

GlaDoS states that "in the end there will be cake". However, in the end, you're supposed to get killed since you're just a test subject. Therefore, "the cake is a lie".

You're nearly right. The cake is made out of the test subjects that are killed. Thus the cake is truth.

The cake wasn't really a lie: if the test subjects had survived, they would have received cake. However, what GLADoS's promise was a bit misleading: "In the end, there will be cake." She did not specify those that died would not be receiving the cake.

You get the cake in the end because you have survived the experiment.

The cake is the truth.
