Is the Hulk Incredible?

Usually, I skip super hero movies. The Hulk was no exception. I pretty know the plot (The bad guy dies). I like a movie with a plot with a good twist and good acting or at least the character thats played by a bad actor dies.

I'm usually pissed about the over-produced super hero movies these days. It has the "Nintendo syndrome" (Too much of the same thing, but people still like it).

If you like that genre of movie, I wont stop you from watching it. I'm just saying what I'm thinking. (free speech right)?

EDIT:I'm sorry if they're some grammar errors, it's late here

I agree that the movie review was a little harsh, but I also agree the movie went about as far as summer blockbusters try to go and didn't get any further.

I thought the opening sequence was good, since it didn't last ten minutes like some opening sequences, and was saying "This is basically a sequel, here's what happened last time, if you don't get it, no worries just enjoy the movie." Also, to say that some of the characters "mentioned 'gamma poisoning'" is quite an understatement.

I found some of the humor bits to be quite funny, but then maybe I'm more into the dry side of humor since that was what they were going for.

And the special effects... yes, they were bad... but this movie featured some of the kitschiest explosions in cinema history (if you don't know what kitschy means, look it up, basically overdone and cheesy) which I thought seemed almost as if the director said, "This movie is a 'punch, shoot, boom!' summer action flick, so let's make it as over the top as possible!" Not sure what I'm trying to get at, but I found it to somehow be a redeeming quality, intentionally or not.

Honestly, looking back on this, I would rather you all disregard this review, I wrote it terribly. honestly, a combination of boredom and tiredness is not a good state to decide to write anything. There were a few things I liked about the movie, Banner's torment was quite well done, but honestly, the main actor wasn't really up to the role.

The hell? If you're bored and tired, go sleep. I'm... Baffled. "My review was bad because I was tired" makes no sense whatsoever. It's like going to a practice session with your band and saying "sorry I played badly, guys, my shirt was on fire, I got distracted". Priorities, dude. Sort 'em out.

And there it is again! Alright, I admit, I haven't actually seen the Hulk. But if Edward Norton was the weak link in a comic book remake, I will personally eat a lamp. Have you... not watched Fight Club, or something?

No, my review wasn't bad because I was tired, it was bad because I made no effort towards it because of lazyness.

No, I haven't seen fight club, but Banner just didn't seem all that interesing compared to say, Tony Stark, it might have been what they were trying for, but it didn't make for good viewing in my opinion

As a comic fan, I enjoyed it. :) It was a fun movie and there were no parts for me that were like "Gawd, hurry up already! Explode something!"

So if you like action movies and/or comic books, check it out.

Btw if you paid attention to the time when Ross was talking with the guy who became the supersoldier, you'd know why Banner became the Hulk. "He was so confident in his progress that he decided to test it on himself" or somesuch.

No one spotted all the casting references??

ATTENTION, DONT JUST KEEP SCROLLING! READ THIS!!

1) The old man who drinks the hulks blood? Is Stan Lee, creator of marvel comics. (also, He loves to use the name stanley {stan-lee) in his comics, hence the restaurant and other smattering around the place.

2) At the start when Banner watches TV, the guy who gets slapped? original Banner from the TV series.

3) The Security guard he bribes with Pizza? the one with the huge muscles? You guessed it, they painted him green and he played the Hulk in the original TV series.

just thought this would entertain some readers, by no means is the end to the references in the film, but some i noticed upon watching.

Stan Lee has cameos in all the Marvel movies. Pretty funny, too.

EDIT: He may not have been in Daredevil, the Punisher, and Ghostrider. I don't remember those movies very well though(thankfully).

I've never had much respect for the Hulk. He's the only hero I can think of who can be beaten soundly and without question by a blow dart full of anti-depressants. Oh, I won't like you when you're angry? Good thing you can't get f*cking angry! Kicks in face.

That being said, the review did seem rushed and when you can't even tell us who played which charaters your credibility does go down just a bit. Overall, it was an average review. For a first attempt it wasn't bad.

One thing that's always annoyed me about the incredible Hulk is that he seems to be absolutely indestructable, we all know how it's going to turn out, people are going to shoot at him, watch as the bullets bounce off him and then somehow decide that the best course of action is to shoot at him some more, it tends to get rather old and I found myself wanting to scream IT'S NOT WORKING WHY ARE YOU STILL DOING IT.
Have movies and videogames taught you nothing? The US Army is pants-on-head retarded! ^_^

I saw it the first week it was released and was "eh" about it. It wasn't a bad movie, but nothing jumped out as particularly spectacular. Ed Norton, Tim Roth, and William Hurt were all great, but the movie just didn't have enough going for it. The battle sequences were so-so, and it felt like such a drop-off in quality from "Iron Man".

He's in the first hulk movie aswell, along with that security guard.
his name is Lou Ferrigno, i got to meet him a couple years, he's MASSIVE, i thought he was a bit rude cause he didn't really talk. i found out after that he was deaf, i felt bad cause i thought he was just being stuck up

and Stan Lee was in Daredevil, at the very beginning, the director's cut is a MUCH better version of that movie, he's not in punisher (either version) or ghost rider

for a bit of trivia, in FF:Rise of the silver surfer, that scene he appears in comes right out of the comic, when they ask "is that plus one?" and Stan says "no it's just me now", that plus one they are refering to is Jack Kirby, in the original FF comic it's Stan and Jack who try to get into the wedding and are turned away.

well consdering both actors have been nomiated and/or won oscars, i'd say they are both really good actors and if you bother to pay attention to the wide variety of roles they've played over their careers, maybe then you'd have a different opinion

so according to that they DID get good actors and therefore have a good movie, by your own logic :)

hmmm yes marvel dose bring in good actors but the guy who played iron man was on shakey grounds every one in my town has said for being a druggie i think and if i am wrong so be it. also Norton had a fight with marvel and was not recognized as contributing to the movie via the credits. plus we have the upcoming avengers movie and many people are asking will norton be in their. so the facts are the facts or opions meh anyway i dare not watch another hulk movie after Ang Lees.

yes Robert Downey Jr was addicted to drugs and alcohol, which makes him great for the role of Tony Stark. soon as i heard he was cast as Tony, i was like "wow good choice, not much of a stretch for him to play that roll" and he pulled it off great too

as for Ang Lee's Hulk, it was one of the best stylistically comic book movies i've ever seen. it had some damn cool shots and almost felt like you were watching a comic book. story wasn't the greatest but more ppl should borrow some of his cinematography cause it was darn cool

How'd they pull that off? He was the lead! Did they just not list Banner in the credits, or something?

The movie starts with a montage although it's never really explained to us just exactly why he became the Hulk,
it's the Hulk, did you really need exposition to figure it out? and they explain it later on anyways.

my only problem with the film was how it was thematically empty when they could have really played with interesting ideas of the good of the individual vs. that of society. obviously Banner doesn't want to be dissected... but obviously, no Government program can leave a radiated mutant fuck up roam free smashing the shit out of things everytime he's sad.

but they blew it and made the General a douche bag (despite the actors best efforts). in the end they just didn't give a shit about thematics and made a sweet action movie. addittionally, they made Liv Tyler's character dumb as shit... she's a doctor, she should be saying sciencish stuff not, "Hit the button now!"

i think she was the only doctor character who didn't ues the word "molecular"
