Is there a way to turn the volume higher than the normal maximum?

I'm watching Ergo Proxy on my computer at the moment (using earbuds btw), and it's barely loud enough to hear the dialogue... is there some sort of software that'll turn the volume beyond the normal maximum on Windows XP? I'm watching it in VLC with the volume on 200%, the computer is set to maximum volume and the earbuds don't have their own volume control... any ideas?

Maybe your earbuds don't work? Falling short of that, all I can say is buy some speakers. Sorry bud.

scroll up on your mouse whilst watching the video in vlc. VLC can boost the volume to 400% this way.

open up your volume control/mixer go into the equaliser, create a custom equaliser and put all the sliders to the top

hope this helps

It's not my hearing, it's these shitty earbuds. My hearing is fine.
