A friend of mine has a dodgy graphics card that kept overheating, so he got a jar of water (with the lid shut tight) and rested it on top of the GPU heatsink. No more overheating.

The same computer also needs to have random keys pushed and the mouse continuously moved around while booting up in order to not crash.

It crashes occasionally on .exe files without any reason, the hard drive overheats, if i don't clean the fan regularaly it overheats, I've lost the side panel because i kept taking it on and off so many time, it's running off mostly old and/or scavenged parts from friends. Oh and my laptop runs vista so It's got something seriously wrong with it :)

Not with my brand spank-me new desktop!
But with my Laptop it has seemed to fail turning on... at all. Also there is jam in the keyboard and I once came home drunk poured milk on it and pissed on it.
This is very... interesting.
Exactly how drunk were you?
When I woke up the was a slice of bread GLUED to my face, I was TOO drunk.
But it was worth it... The laptop wasn't the best anyway and it's a funny story to tell the grandchildren.
I think.

Not too many things wrong, to be honest. Ocasionally, when I start it up, it changes the resolution to the lowest possible. Also, it seems to have some issues with Steam online games, I get a lagspike about once per two minutes that lasts for three or so seconds. I'm writing down that as a Steam problem, though.

But no, apart from the resolution changing, nothing wrong. Hell, even my old desktop didn't have too many problems after five years of heavy use. Eventually the graphics card overheated and died so I decided to get myself a new computer. That compared to my sisters identical desktop that died 2 weeks in. She got it fixed, and since then it takes 30 minutes to start it up. Good thing she doesn't use it much.

My dog decided it'd be fun to knock my computer off the desk. So now I have a couple cracks in the shell, a "Z" key with a claw in it, a faulty DVD-rom drive, and a weird line at the bottom of the screen. *sigh* And no money to replace the damn thing, yet.
