is there something behind pi?

as we all know, pi is what you use in several equations for circles. One can find pi by gatting a circle with a diameter of exactly one then measuring the circumference. Now, id there something behind pi or is is just another irrational number?

What do you actually mean by this question?

If you write pi on a piece of paper then I guess the paper is behind pi. Other than that, I don't think anyone here can help you.

Ahhh, pi. That most stalwart of a Nerd's fixations. There have been shirts made of you, jokes made of you, foods named after you (and they're even largely circular.)

However I've got a bone to pick with you pi. You are by all estimations an amazing thing, and you keep popping up everywhere as has been mentioned before. I can only put this down to your awesome power so why haven't you cured cancer yet? What's the best way to stop the inevitable human Apocalypse? Please pi, tell me true..
