Guys, I'm getting a PC build, is this a decent set up?

Intel i7-3770 core i7 processor, 3.4GHz
intel chipset motherboard
8gb DDR3 RAM
ATI HD 7950 OC with BOOST 3GB
1TB HDD
ATX tower case

This is just meant for general gaming, like Far Cry 3 and Crysis, is there anything I need to add?

What speed is the hard-drive? Make sure that the motherboard and case are the right size to fit all the components. I don't know anything about ATI cards and that's a good processor as far as I'm aware, it's the one in my new office computer but I haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

EDIT: Also make sure that your power supply can handle the components, that's always important.

I'd drop the i7 and just get a i5 3570k instead. It's cheaper and you will get the same performance in games.

i7 is overkill.

Nothing uses hyerthreading, so your best best would be to get an i5 3570k and overclock it in the future.

Really, the most important 2 things to consider are your motherboard and PSU (power supply), they need to be able to support the stuff you put in it.
