Is this guy just a sexist mysoginist or does he have a point about pretty girls?

That was hilarious, I liked "every fat ugly woman wants to use you as a tampon!" that made me spit coke all over my monitor. Most people know what kind of comedian they are when they go to see their shows or buy their DVDs so I never quite understand when certain people get offended (I'm a woman by the way)

Rudeness as a substitute for comedic timing. Just the usual.

I just don't dig comedians simply talking about things most people are too busy too actually think about. That's only half or less of what stand-up is about. A lot of whathe talked about I already notice. He lacks presentation.

That aside, I didn't really see much point for aggravation, pretty women have a lot of stuff handed out to them.

But, there's some prices for that much beauty, a few other posts here already illustrated those.

Anyway, Dave Chappele and George Carlin had a lot of better writing material/life perception and comedic timing, but sometimes they really went over the line and took a dump in it. This guy's pretty tame in comparison.

Ha! I just found a new favorite comedian. That's funny. I don't necessarily agree with his points, but funny none the less.

Completely true - In secondary school I was the boy who always made fun of the popular girls and helped the beta females with work;

The prettier women are - the more they can glide through life and the more they are lied too.
I prefer beta females as well, probably because i myself am a bit of a beta-male, which i think is why i get on better with them. I tend to regard attractive popular girls (unless i'm friends with them) as little more than eye candy.

Basically, the answer is yes. Just think about it. What if you were a not-so-pretty girl, or an ugly girl, and had a few friends who were very pretty?

1. When you go to a social event, all the guys are staring at your pretty friends and ignoring you.

2. When your pretty friends join you and your boyfriend for dinner (or whatever) he's looking at them (and possibly the pretty waitress) a lot more than you.

3. (As Mr. Burns said) Virtually all men are willing to wait on the pretty girls hand and foot, or are at least extra nice to them, while they may hesitate to give you the time of day.

Add to these the fact that women tend to compete socially (whereas men compete physically and economically) and you can see why women who are pretty (and therefore have a huge and often undeserved advantage) would be the object of jealousy and spite.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head there in explaining why beta females can dislike or get envious attractive alpha females.

Hahahaha! Look at that woman in the end of the video! She obviously doesn't like it when the guy sitting next to her is laughing his ass off!
Comedy is often about sensetive subjects, thats what makes it funny!

I'm so glad that just about everyone realizes that Brendan Burns IS A COMEDIAN. Except of course for that brunette who's boyfriend is never, ever going to have sex with her again. That's of course assuming they were still a couple after the show. The look she was giving him was pure hatred, probably because everything he was saying was totally accurate, otherwise she would have been laughing along with everyone else.

I think the best part of that clip was the expressions on some of the "pretty" girls' faces, it was a mixture of contempt and fear that someone was actually calling them out on their bullshit.

What was even more impressive was the one blonde girl in the front row who went from the aforementioned contemptuous/fearful look to smiling and laughing BECAUSE SHE GOT THE JOKE.

Pretty girls don't like it when people point out their (usually emotional) flaws, and coming from a guy that has dated lingeree models, THIS IS COMPLETELY TRUE. I got so sick of being asked "Am I pretty? Is she prettier than me? etc." that I just gave up. Edit: It was like dating different versions of Jackie from "That 70's Show."

I'd say that other than being a litte crass, Burns is pretty much right on the mark...

I think he does have some good points, especially what he said about learning to take jokes about yourself.

This is hilarious! By even considering misogyny, you're sucking out the funny. I'm a girl. Not offended. Do boys get offended when women comidians vent on how much men suck? No, it's f u n n y ! If ya take things like this seriously, it's probably you who they're joking about. Grow a sense of humor, and take that blunt object out of your rectum, will ya? :)

I disagree on both counts, I dont think he has a point, nor do I think he's a sexist mysoginist, I think he's a comedian saying these things for entertainment value. Offensive stuff gets alot of laughs in modern comedy, it's a simple fact of the comedy world.

Holy fuck that cracked me up! Couldn't believe it when he was chewing that bastard out and his sitting there next to his girl ashamedly chuckling and she looks completely hurt and befuddled.

I do feel he has a point, about patriarchal society in fact. In a world run by men, we give special preference to sexually attractive women at the expense of opportunities and equality for those less attractive. As a result, the pretty girls can get by in life without the talent, work ethic, knowledge or charisma that an ugly woman needs. Of course this isn't universal but I think we can all agree that we know of a successful pretty girl who's gotten where she is on her looks alone. Case #1: Sarah Palin. Case #2: Paris Hilton. Case #3: Megan Fox. How many millions more?

I've heard alot of rude comedians in my time, I can guarantee you with most of these guys if you sat down to a conversation with them they're probably nice people.

The funniest part of that whole bit was the dark haired woman at the end who looked completely outraged.
