Black holes also decay, so if you had a black hole with very small mass it could decay in moments.
Um, is that all?
Black holes can move, just like stars can. If they move close enough to each other, they'll merge.Guitar Gamer said:but how can two singularities be right beside each other if their well.........singluarities?
Hawking Radiation. Simple explanation: according to quantum physics, particle locations aren't concrete locations, but areas of probable location. In other words, there's, say, a 95% chance that a given electron is where we'd expect it to be, but a 5% or less chance that it will suddenly be elsewhere. Over astronomical periods of time in this way, black holes can lose mass, until they get small enough to explode. <url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawking_radiation>Complicated explanation.BlakBladz said:Knight Templar said:Bingo.NeutralDrow said:They form a larger (or at least more massive) black hole.

wait.....but how can black holes decay?
i read something that said they are the only entity other then raw energy that has no end. like, it cant be destroyed or prevented or whatever....how do they decay? what actual...thing...is decaying? does that just mean they just dissipate at the end of it all?

You mean that thing from Futurama movie? Don't worry, it means no harm. It just wants to make love to our entire galaxy.TheNecroswanson said:When two black holes collide, they merge and create the Hadron Collider. i thought of the muse song "super massive black hole"traceur_ said:Did anyone else think of that song when worlds collide when they read the thread title?
The universe divides by zero, and gets...BlakBladz said:k, what happens when 2 blackholes crash or collide or merge or what....?
what happens?
Yes, I did, or at least I thought of the "Now this is what it's like when worlds COLLIDE!" line. Then I felt old. That wasn't that long ago, was it?traceur_ said:Did anyone else think of that song when worlds collide when they read the thread title?
I've always felt that those skirts are far too long.NeutralDrow said:Shall I start making sacrifices in the name of <url=http://eternalmoonkingdom1.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/plutopose.gif>the goddess?
Giant binary system, it's how black holes were discovered in the first place, they found a sun was in orbit with something that they couldn't see in visible light.Guitar Gamer said:but how can two singularities be right beside each other if their well.........singluarities?
