With finals coming to an end soon I'm looking to get into a new timesinky game soon. I tried WoW in the past (pre-Lich King) and I found myself quickly growing bored with it, mainly because of the combat. However, I've heard that Wildstar's gameplay is a bit more engaging, and I've become a little interested in the game. So, as a question to those who play or have played Wildstar, do you think its a good game, particularly for somebody who wanted to like WoW but found the combat dull? Or is the game still fairly dry?
Is Wildstar worth trying?

When I was playing it back in August it was pretty good, if poorly optimized.
I haven't played it since going back to uni and having to put up with a shitty internet connection, but I heard it's kind of dead now.
