Which makes me suspect he has an alter-ego that plays guitar in a two-tone band.

There's a couple of videos where he's spotted without his hat: the ZP (first) "Uncharted" review has a brief live-action section, he cameos in one of the ENN vids, and I think he's interviewed by the Escapist at a con. He appears to have a full head of hair, but no clue how to style it.
