This year my birthday will be the 12/12/12.

As for famous people born on that day, there's Bill Nighy, Frank Sinatra and a bunch of people I'm not interested in.

I share my birthday with MLK Jr. (January 15th) It's also the date that, in 1559, Elizabeth I was crowned. :)

17 of August, 17000 die of an earthquake in Turkey, a further 44000 are injured. On a plus side I share the same birthday as the great Thierry Henry!

Well, it's the day the world is suppose to end.

And Winter Solstice. Shortest day of the year.

I'm getting jipped. (though technically I like the longer nights)

On mine , July 29th, I found:
-Mussolini was born
-Hitler rose to power in his party.
Funny that you say that, my birthday, August 2nd, is the day that Hitler became Fuhrer of Germany.

It was also the day that the Declaration of Independence was signed (contrary to popular belief, it was not actually signed on July 4th.)

A couple I found particularly interesting about May 22:

1) "1980 ? Namco releases the highly influential arcade game Pac-Man." (because its freakin' Pac-Man)

2) "2002 ? In Washington, D.C., the remains of the missing Chandra Levy are found in Rock Creek Park." (because I'm from the DC area and this was a huge deal, so I'm surprised I didn't realize it was on my birthday...)

3) Harvey Milk was born in 1930 and Victor Hugo died in 1885

Hrm, well, I wont say what day buuuut. On my birthday (provided it doesnt fall on a sunday) all the banks and post offices close for the day in the state I was born and reside in. So I guess its pretty cool, except if I want to do in office banking or pick up my mail on my birthday. Yeah, actually kinda sucks.

Mine is September 20th and I remember when 9/11 happened...
Mine is the 13th and it was quite fun sharing the cake I had in my lunch box to the other children while the teachers were all talking in hushed voices about how terrible it was. I was quite happy :p
The only interesting thing that happened on my birthday is probably this:

June 11 - Lets hope somethings good.

1775 ? The American Revolutionary War's first naval engagement, the Battle of Machias, results in the capture of a small British naval vessel.
1776 ? The Continental Congress appoints Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston to the Committee of Five to draft a declaration of independence.
1963 ? American Civil Rights Movement: Alabama Governor George Wallace stands at the door of Foster Auditorium at the University of Alabama in an attempt to block two black students, Vivian Malone and James Hood, from attending that school. Later in the day, accompanied by federalized National Guard troops, they are able to register.(Woo!)

The worst one though? John Wayne died on June 11. NOOOOOOO.

Well on April 9th 1968 Martin Luther King Jr was laid to rest but apart from that not much. I do share my birthday with two of my favourite singers though and I was born on Good Friday so does that make me the anti christ?

It doesn't happen every year but sometimes I'm lucky enough (sarcasm) to have my birthday fall on Superbowl Sunday. I think Chinese New Year may happen on/around my birthday too...the year I was born, I was born before CNY so instead of being a Dragon I'm actually one of the last 1987 Rabbits (multiple place-mats confirm this as I'm more like the rabbit than the Dragon anyway).

20th of March. Same day as Napoleon the second was born, coincidentally his father (Napoleon Bonaparte) returned from Elba to France to begin his 100 day rule.

I celibate my birthdays by eating a Mille-feuille (also known as Napoleon cake). Not because I really care that much about Napoleon, but rather because those cakes are damn delicious!

My birthday is on October 5th. It's not special, in fact it is ridiculously common for babies to be born on that day.

Looked up history- nothing interesting really that relates to October 5th. Such a bummer but I am still proud of the day I was born. Because with each year, it's what I do that makes me appreciate being alive after all. :}
What do you mean its not really interesting? Its when Steve jobs died!
And Its when the first Monty Python aired!

...Ok, maybe its not that interesting...
