Well.... this is probably more coincidental than ironic (according to Bender [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2krXq8fw90]), but the juxaposition of these two events occurring so closely together can't really be overlooked.
Less than a week ago (using North American release dates here), Duke Nukem Forever was released.... and was a profound disappointment. Over a decade in the making, and at best it's a relic which hasn't aged well at all. The gleefully inappropriate humour doesn't hit the mark either; arguably one of the best reasons for getting it is morbid fascination (in regards to both the humour and the gameplay). Terribly unfortunate, but that's the truth.
And yesterday, the remake of the best-reviewed game of all time (and frequent contender for THE best game of all time) was released - Ocarina of Time 3D. The reviews so far have been very positive (~93% average on Gamerankings), though the fact it's a remake means it can't blow people away like the original did for the N64 in 1998. Nevertheless, at the very least OoT is demonstrating the fact it's a timeless classic.
Ironic, or just a humourous coincidence? Probably the latter, but a bit irrelevant in any case.
And it would appear an elven chap in green tights wants to say something.
