Resident Evil: Outbreak might not have been the greatest game to be released. However, I believe if a developer could take the approach for online gaming that Capcom attempted to; we could possibly have a fun new experience. I mean, is anyone against the idea of fighting off hordes of zombies, creatures, infected or any other termonology used for the "undead", only to taken over by a virus and then turn on those you were helping?
Yes, it still had the traditional RE stand, spin and shoot controls, but with how games are going today, someone could rejuvenate this concept.
