I have Prototype, it is a great game, and I really like how it plays out. However, I would love to be able to play inFAMOUS as well, but sadly cannot, as I do not own a PS3 either. What I don't understand is the PS3 fans who bash Prototype, even though they get the game as well... What the fuck guys. And if anyone. I mean anyone mentions "LOLZ PROTOTYPE HAZ TEH SUCK GRAPHIX!" I will kill a puppy.

The argument is only relevant to to ps3 owners really.
I was trying to figure out which one I wanted more.
I really liked the demo for Infamous and I'll probably still pick it up (maybe today) but I went with Prototype first because I really liked Hulk UD, Prototype looks just like Hulk UD (without Hulk), and I bought Hulk UD for $5 used and after the hours of entertainment it provided, so I owe them.

If you are a ps3 owner here's the easiest way to decide: if you want something more shooterish, get Infamous; if you want something more brawly, get Prototype. If you can afford it, get both; they are both very good.

You don't quite seem to understand the whole 'personal opinion' thing. Personally, i don't give a crap about any PS3 exclusives, i think they all look shit. IN MY OPINION.

Edit: Actually, the exclusives for all the consoles look fairly crap to me, i'm bothered at all by them. Except Crackdown.

Well, not an ABSOLUTE fact, but yeah it is.

In my opinion, lightning beats ripped-off Akira powers any-day.

Also, there will always be people who will compare things. GTA series and Saint Row series for example. It never stops. Both Prototype and Infamous are good but in different ways. This would be like comparing Star Wars to Star Trek or William Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe it just cannot be done.

PS3 fan-boys dis Prototype and X-BOX 360 owners dis Infamous. Non fan-boys can see how this war is tearing the gaming community apart.

Everyone should accept that the games are similar but are no way comparable.

Congratulations for announcing yourself as a fanboy.
The PS3 is technically better than the 360 in almost everyway, and it is becoming apparent that it has better games/actual exclusives other than timed exclusives.
If you weren't a fanboy you wouldn't care at all about the Infamous vs Prototype, but it's the fact that Infamous is showing the 360 up as being a bit naff which is causing the fanboy whining. So less whining, and more apathy towards the whole thing if you're not a fanboy.

It depends on what you want in a game. After WATCHING both prototype and infamous on youtube (walkthroughs), I summarize these games as such.

Prototype:
- More melee-style
- Wanton destruction / Mindless fun
- Not-so-good missions
- Anything goes

inFamous:
- More ranged-style
- More on actually strategically taking out opponents
- Nice level design (when platforming) and varied types of missions
- You actually need to plan ahead

So it all goes down to what you want in a video game. Want a game where you just beat shit up? Prototype. Want a game where you love level and gameplay design as well as strategically knowing what to do next? InFamous. The exclusive though is kind of a barrier to the choice.

First. yeah im fanboy of 360. I own both consoles. But im trying to sell my PS3 couse i never use it.
But let me say this.
MS/X360 is gonna get some of the ps exclusive titles soon.

Tekken.
MGS.
FF.
RE.
--- we dont have Uncharted: Drake's Fortune- but in my eyes its just a Tomb raider game.
--- dont have God of War- But we will have Dantes inferno- (looks the same- But hate those games.)

God of war is a good selling game yes. But so is something like Halo.

Infinite Undiscovery (not the best RPG ive seen)
Lost odyssey (the godfather of FF made this and Blue dragon - He did not make FF 10' 12'.)
Blue dragon (A childish but great RPG)
Dead rising (more fun in my eyes than Prototype and Infamous put together)
Dead or alive (Not bad, but its not Tekken. SO im glad tekken 6 is for x360 too)
Fable 2 (Priceless)
Forza ¨ (Kicks GT's ass with the ability to change allmost everything on your car.)
Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom (Great hack and slash game. With alot of hours played)
Star Ocean: The Last Hope (seems to be good)
Too human (its ok. 7/10)
Viva Piñata (Cool game if you like to relax with stuffy animals hehe)

Ring of death (But havent heard anyone with that problem for a long time.)
Batteries (But you can get a recharge pack cheap.)
XBlive (smoooooooooooooth)

All I can say. If you like your PS3 that much. Well Im happy for you. But saying PS3 is on the top is just stupid.
Maybe sony will blow our minds. But for now, My 360 aint the dusty one on the shelf.

I know 5 ppl in this area that has an xbox. 3 of them had a PS3 before.
That just tells me something.

Prototype vs Infamous?
I completet Prototype yesterday. It was fun and Hard'. But not sure im gonna play that much more after finishing and killing allmost 3000 civilians (i tryed it all now). And i really didnt like it that much the first hour i tryed Infamous. Then again i get bored easy playing GTA.

Can you blame them? The two games have very VERY similar concepts. But it's wrong to pit them against each other. They're both great, fun games. That's the only fucking thing that matters.

Both games seem great, Prototype is great, but I can only say that because I own it(and the free running parkour stuff kicks ass). inFamous looks great... but it makes me think someone played too much City of Villains XD Makes me miss my Elec/Elec brute.
