Ever said anything you thought would be awesome, but then when it came out you realized it was actually pretty dumb, but it sounded cool before you said it? Post it here.

I once actually said "Welcome to the fold" after making friends with someone. Sounded epic in my head. Sounded really dumb coming from my mouth.

Most of the time for me it happens when i try and make a nice little quip when in a funny situation but it ends up coming out as utter rubbish.

When I write, I actually sound out when I write commas. For example, for a sentence like this: "I wrote something, then I did this", I sound it out like this: "I wrote something comma then did this".

Yeah, that doesn't translate well when you accidentally say the "comma" part out loud.
