Ok i've have played a lot of video games but I never buy unless i really like. But is there something wrong with me because i can't get into most hits. I couldn't stand modern warfare 1 and 2. i was bored to death by Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed. (which stopped me from getting the sequels) And Borderlands and Bio-shock 2 look bad to me. Seriously I don't see whats so great about these games yeah they are at best to me a meh(3) outta five. Are there any games you would suggest me trying out. (Note: I am not making this up.)I am eager to try Dante's Inferno and Fallout 3. EDIT: My top five games are Animal Crossing 1, Bully, Saints Row 2, Medal Of Honor Airborne, and Rock Band 2

Well, it'd be nice if you told us what games you like, and then from there we can make a recommendation.

Each person has their own tastes. I personally would dive into a swimming pool of kraft macaroni and cheese before eating caviar. Am I a worse person for having a "lesser pallet?" Maybe.

But really, what kind of games do you like? It would be much easier to recommend games if we knew what you liked, rather than what you didn't.

Try out JRPGs, they can be good. At least for the linear plotline.
If you have a psp the must-get game is LocoRoco. It's quirky, childish, and fun as hell.
Then there's always Katamari Damancy

MoH:Airborne?

I can't help you.

But seriously, I don't get how Mass Effect could bore anyone, unless you're one of those "fuck story and thinking calmly, I need reflexsive brute force and one-liners" types, then I might just.

Serious Sam and STALKER are what I'd reccomend.

Yes Tetris, for stacking blocks has never been more fun. But really have you played Crackdown, it's like SR2 but you are superman.

Bayonetta before Dante
Fallout 1, or if you veer more on the side of action, STALKER with the LURK mod before Fallout 3

Geometry Wars 2. Assuming you've enjoyed any previous retro titles like Galaga or Space Invaders. You sound like you may be a younger gamer, though, so I'll also suggest Red Faction: Guerilla.
Why does this make him sound like a younger gamer?
I loved AC1 and 2, thought mass effect was pretty awesome, and am having a blast with Borderlands, and I'm 14.

This may sound a bit harsh, but I'm genuinely wondering.

How did you play them without buying?
Maybe thats the problem, if you dont pay the full price(or pirate it) you will give up a game faster than if you pay 60 Bucks for it.

I don't want to speak for Xzi but the OP only mentions 1 game not released in the past 3 years and that's Animal Crossing.

How could you like MOH: Airborne but not COD4? It's like choosing a cream cake on the ground over the bigger cream cake on the plate!

OT:
GTA: San andreas, GTA: Vice City
Fallout 3
Bayonetta!
Give dante a miss for a while. GET GOD OF WAR!

No, you just have different taste than most.

Try older RPGs. Fallout 1/2 and Planescape: Torment are amazing. Although if you're a big time graphics fiend (nothing wrong with that) they'll be unplayed to you. But if you're interested in Fallout 3 for the freedom you get you will be blown away by those games.

Animal Crossing, Bully, Saint's Row 2... so I heard you like sandboxes?

Ever try the Elder Scrolls series? Morrowind's a good starting point. A lot more options going on than in Oblivion. Feels like it has more replay value. (I'm not sure about Oblivion's replay value yet, because I haven't finished a first through.)

Also: See post directly above me.

I actually fell like this too. Don't get Dante's Inferno, you'll only be disappointed. You should try Assassin's Creed 2 though. I didn't like the first either, but the second one is actually pretty fun. Just don't start collecting all the shit it asks you to.

sounds like you are leaning slightly more towards the casual side of gaming, not completely but you are leaning that way. so therefore i would say games like fallout 3, bioshock 2, and borderlands may be to involved for you. maybe red faction guerilla as a suggestion?
