Ehm... are you for real? I've seen it maybe once or twice being mispelled in passing and I'm 100% sure it's not to annoy you.

Also, if this is one of the biggest problems and worries in your life, you got it easy, man.

EDIT: Furthermore, was this really worth dedicating an entire thread to?

No, I'm not for real.

But I have seen people spell it wrong several times. it's mildly irritating. and I decided to spend 3 minutes writing a thread to address it. Maybe a couple of people will read the thread and realise their mistake thereby making the world a slightly better place(for me).

While Lare Croft seems very important to you it is not something worth making a thread over.

tbh, I've never seen anyone spell Liara Croft's name wrong.

Also, on a side note, seeing the posted gif and your avatar being out of sync is very weird, though having a double feature of that particular gif is very appropriate for this thread.

Man i loved Laura Croft up until tomb raider 3 she lost her swagger since then. But those old games raiding tombs with Laura making her dive bomb into a puddle of water only to die a painful bone crunching death.

But yeah people should make sure they get her name right, Laura was a titan of a bygone age.

OP, why don't you, you know, address the people who make the mistake? Because I don't think it's a wide enough phenomenon to warrant telling everybody.

I've actually noticed this a lot. Probably the worst example was a video interview done by Angry Joe of one of the developers. The guy said Lara to Joe several times, yet Joe kept sticking to calling her Laura even though this guy is right in front of him saying Lara. Infuriating! It doesn't just happen with Lara either. They're usually understandable mistakes at first, but when you continue to make the mistake when you are confronted with overwhelming evidence that you made a mistake, and simultaneously continue to make the error? What's wrong with you?

Well, Laura is a much more common name in the UK than Lara, which is more USian, I think.

But, wev. Supposedly Keira Knightly swapped the "i" and "e" of her first name around so that it followed the more common US pattern.

I have to agree with the OP although people seem to be getting really worked up over him addressing this, a few people in the other threads kept calling her Laura, even after several pages of comments and discussion, which, if they weren't trolling, was just really weird to read, as they were being quoted by people using Lara, and seen direct quotes from the developers calling her lara, but they'd keep using Laura. It was really odd.

When I was little and didn't know any English yet I actually thought her name was Tomb Raider.
