It's my birthday and I'm set to have a wonderful day. I'm just curious, how many other Escapists have birthdays around Christmas, and how do you celebrate? Do you keep them separate, or do you combine them into one super holiday?

I think it is easier to buy it combined but if I were others I would celebrate them seperate :p

Happy Birthday! :)

I think I prefer to have birthday far away from Christmas, so all the Celebrating isn't only once a year.

Happy birthday!

My bday is in summer, but a friend from high school has it on the 30th of December and said that she always celebrates it along with the New Year's party. It's pretty unfair if you ask me. The point of a bday is to feel special, so just throwing it in there with the Xmas/New Year's party is pretty sad.

Still, hope you'll have a good birthday! Or a "super holiday", as you put it. :)

Congratulations buddy, have a wild one! No my birthday is not near Christmas, it's in August. I don't think I'd like to have my birthday near it.

A friend of mine's birthday is around christmas. I do remember going to his birthday parties though.

My birthday is in september, and nowadays, I don't really do much out of it. Maybe eat some cake with my family. And I suppose; the next time, I'll celebrate a little with these guys [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Bakers-Circle].

Congrats, you're another year older!

And actually, I do have a birthday around Christmas. Mine's on the 19th and my family generally keeps them separate since there's really no reason for us to have turkey AND cake all in one night.

Happy birthday, here's a cookie :)

And on the subject of birthdays round christmas, the closest one out of my family is mine, which is at the end of January, so by then the christmas festivities have died down a bit, but I still don't celebrate it because it never really seems different to me on that day.
