It's official - Mass Effect 3 has multiplayer.

I think a lot of you are looking at this wrong. I seriously doubt its a Call of Duty style competitive multiplayer. Its probably going to be more in the spirit of Fable's co-op, except hopefully better done.

Fable 3 had a pretty decent Coop-system.. Sadly "pretty decent" would be a generous way to describe the game itself.. If not a blatant lie.

This is going to afflict ME3 with what i call "Multiplayer-Cancer" A perfect game for single player has its single player story slashed with a rusty fish-scaler to make room for multiplayer "features" if you pronounce features as "tumors" when a game that has worked PERFECTLY as a single player game has multiplayer shoehorned in, both modes suffer.

Derp on me. I didn't even not see the word "player". I read it as "four...player co-op missions" not "four-player...co-op missions". I guess that's what happens when you don't play any multiplayer...and you're derpy in the head.

I still say it isn't a big deal. I'll just be able to sell my online pass for however much they go for, assuming it isn't also tied to single-player content.

It's co-op guys. CO-OP! Co-op is an awesome thing. And if it's co op for the same campaign as the single player it won't drain many of your precious single player resources. I can't wait to play this with my best friend.

Wait is this real multiplayer or just Co-Op? I'm actually OK with Co-Op, so long as it doesn't detract from the single player game.

I'm not interested in the multiplayer in this story driven Action RPG.

I would like to see how they make it however.It will be awkward to see multiple Sheps or Femsheps shooting each other.

People play call of duty and battlefield 3 for multiplayer. People play Mass effect for single player. Any time making a multiplayer aspect should have been put into furthering/polishing the single player. This feels like metriod prime 2 all over again. Great single player game yet wasted development time on a multiplayer that nobody asked for. The kinect functionality is also unneeded and a waste of development time.

This better not be a co-op thing, if its separate and the campaign is on par with something like Mass Effect 2 (hopefully longer) then it won't bother me.
Co-op ruins the individual experience for a single player game like this.
