I just came from One Manga, yes I know threads have been made. But anyways, since I always go straight to their Recent Updates I all of the sudden found out that all of my updated Mangas have been suspended or removed. After going to the homepage I found out they removed their Manga section. Anyone else find this out like I did??

I don't really follow this thread, "something manga'ish" is being removed.
That's the gist I'm getting.

I'm assuming scans of alot of manga have found their way onto websites and actual manga publishers have decided to start making a fuss about it.
Kinda like what happened to Tvshack and a few other streaming sites.

Heres a recap: The bigwigs in charge of Manga over in Japan decided to take an anti-scan stance on the matter and sent out a mass cease and desist order to all scan websites. So it was either delete or be sued to the stone ages

Unlikely. 2 very different companies. If it does happen though I expect mass suicide in protest.

I worry about the author. I really do. How he can imagine what he does out stands me. I don't know what I would do without him though.

I'll have to check out this uzumaki...

It's a new legal rule about copyrighting and such. It's a shame, but all good things come to an end...

I've known about it for a while now. The other sites are going to end up folding soon enough, what with the threat of pretty much every Japanese publisher and US distributor getting behind the cease and desist.

Fun times ahead. It'll be interesting to see how the US market is affected by this.

Because some american (and possibly japanese, not sure which ones were which), publishers threw a hissy fit and did a mass threat to all scanlators who provide something they refuse to provide. This service being UP TO DATE MANGA IN ENGLISH.

I'd glad pay $10-20/month to read all the manga I want if it was up to date.

But sadly they are doing what everyone else is doing. Screwing the consumer instead of seeing a need and filling it.
