Majora's Mask BABY! woo!
Flame shield up but I think it's better than ocarina of time. Ocarina was much more influential but Majora's Mask was overall the better designed and more fun game.

hmmm I should go back and beat it without the fierce deity mask.
If it were twice as long it would have been perfect. I agree though, it's better than ocarina all round, and it's one of my favourite games ever. It's way of creating atmosphere is unparalleled even today.

Oh, and if you're going for Majora without the mask, bring some potions, and when he starts releasing those spinning things, kill them immediately. Majora is the only boss in a Zelda game I've ever found challenging. He's a tough cookie.

Edit: Also, I'm noticing a lot of Majora's mask love round here lately. Coupled with the surprising number of Devin Townsend fans, I think I can safely say the Escapist is where Awesome people come to do Awesome things.

In the year 2000, I must have been playing stuff like CTR, Future Cop LAPD, Pokemon Blue (Gold if it was out then, I really can't remember), FIFA 2000... the list goes on.
If you mean what was I playing on New Year's Eve of 1990, me and my cousin had a huge marathon on Smackdown 2. Good times...

Year 2000? I was, of course, playing the most significant game of that year and possibly the most significant FPSRPG of all time, Deus Ex.

My god, I'm such a fanboy...

And Jade Cocoon: Legend of the Tamamayu on the PS1. Great game, that.

I think Sonic Adventure, or something Dreamcast related. I wasn't into Sony consoles yet, and I'm too embarrassed to admit I played N64 and enjoyed the thing at the time.
DOn't be embarassed, the N64 was my first real console (apart from the SEGA Genesis). I absolutely loved it, and Legend of Zelda was on it (also my first zelda game, I'm sad to admit).

OT: I remember playing Sonic Adventure and Baldur's Gate 2 mostly

In 2000, I was most likely playing Age Of Empires II, and the Conquerors Expansion to that game. They are both excellent games and I'd highly recommend it to any real RTS fan to check them out if you havn't already.

There's bound to be more, but I specifically remember Diablo 2, Baldur's Gate and Starcraft. I also spent a lot of time during the summer playing Star Wars Force Commander. I desperately wanted a SW RTS and although Force Commander wasn't anything to write home about, I think it did the job.
