interesting note on that Gerber machete: I actually own one, and after about a month of hard use hacking through vines and ivy, the grip was rattling horribly... they don't put a full tang on those, and the two bolts that they mount it with are insufficient to prevent cracking in the plastic grip. Mine's essentially broken and useless now. You're far better off with a more traditional "latin machete", especially in a zombie apocalypse scenario. You'll want something that can perform a task it wasn't designed for (opening skulls). That machete can't even do what it was designed for... at least not for very long.Ima842 said:Butterknife? pfff you tape thisrwege said:What about when your 30 rounds are spent? Fair enough. That's pretty much why I bought mine. Big mistake on my part.Ima842 said:i don't really own it but i just google a machete and find the one that was the most bad-ass looking.loc978 said:That machete can't even do what it was designed for... at least not for very long.interesting note on that Gerber machete: I actually own one, and after about a month of hard use hacking through vines and ivy, the grip was rattling horribly... they don't put a full tang on those, and the two bolts that they mount it with are insufficient to prevent cracking in the plastic grip.
