I want to get some more songs for my iPod, and only ever use gift cards to do so. However, a while ago I got a new bank card with a different number. I didn't change the number on my iTunes account for security reasons. Will it still let me use a gift card even if I don't change the number to my current one?

Never mind, I just went ahead and tried it. It worked if Anyone's interested. Now to remember what the hell I intended on buying...

From my experience, if you just type in the number on the gift card, it should work.
We often just buy several when they're cheap and use them when required, on different accounts, some with credit cards and some without.
They all work fine.

If they did manage to make it that only the account with the credit card that bought it is able to use it, that would defeat the purpose of it being a 'gift' card.

But seeing as you've had a card change, I wouldn't recommend attempting to buy something you can't afford. Then they'll know you can't spend ALL YOUR MONIES.

Edit: Whups, a bit too late :p
