Hi, I've followed this guide to make ringtones for the iphone through itunes: http://www.ehow.com/how_2160460_custom-iphone-ringtones-free.html but it just isn't working so can someone just tell me how to get the ringtones folder to actually appear?

Surely you can just import your desired track onto your phone, into its music folder, and select it from within the phone as a ringtone? I'm sorry if that seems really ignorant of me toward the situation, it's just what I've done in the past.

You have to make sure that the song you want to have your ringtone is at max 30 seconds long.

Edit: this is done in the Start - Stop phase of the process.

It should be that simple but with the Iphone you can only select the pre-assigned ones, it doesn't let you choose from elsewhere on your phone and I can't find the folder where they're stored.

Yeah I've made sure of that but the ringtone folder still won't appear :(

Ah Jeez, then I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be much help. All I can suggest is getting it as close to factory settings as you're happy with, and seeing if everything is in order then. Hope it works out for ya!

Edit: Oops... Quote was screwed up.
