It was filmed in the neighborhood of a friend of mine, buuut...that's not why I say to go see it. I say it because I was watching it today and...it's just great. Go see it.

Are the kids the main characters?
that may make it or break it for me?
whats the worst this monster does, psychic destruction and disappearances?

Without spoiling it, I can say this:

The kids are at the center of it, though there are things going on around them they don't realize at first on the adult side of things.

Also, there are alot of explosions.
