true this is neither necro-ing or copy catting but regardless it's a new topic in it's own right and we must respect that(I can't remember the thread before hand but it only spoke of the possiblity of his disbarrment, besides some people don't go to the news room(shocker!)Jobz post=9.72465.761984 said:Actually, thread necro-ing is different. That's when you find a thread that's long dead and post in it rather than starting a new one on the same topic, which mods don't tend to take kindly too. And I'm aware it's not technically against the rules, I was confused, hence the reason I removed that post.fluffylandmine post=9.72465.761973 said:It's not against the rules you silly, thread copy-catting is, and that would be the same thread word for word(with slight paraphrasing), this is a thread necro which means it has variants and other points of view differing from the thread that wasn't to speak of except in bugger-all nostalgia and an obsession for going back 300 pages.Jobz post=9.72465.761954 said:Which here at The Escapist is against the rules, I know, I've read them. Maybe you should too.Retoru post=9.72465.761943 said:It always comes off as condescending when you self-appointed forum police go on about search, then post...search,then post. The simple fact is that if it's not on the front page for all intent and purpose it doesn't exist. Most people aren't going to be bothered with running a search, they scan the front page and if the thread doesn't exist they post it.
Mods tolerate and respect thread necro-ing and besides he was disbarred recently, the old thread was on the possiblity.
now let's drop this and rejoce in the fact that jack thompson's credibility rating is in the negatives(believe it or not people thought he had valid points).
