I've given up on all spirits. I only drink beer and red wine these days.

Actually I lied, I still love a well made Gin and Tonic, FYI most bar soda water from a gun =/= tonic water. It's a refreshing drink good for summer and trip to warm climates.

I make a decent Long Island Ice Tea:
Vodka
Gin
Rum
Cointreau
Coke
Squeeze of Lime
Dash of Soda
& some Ice!

But when I'm feeling a bit more classy than usual, red wine or champagne is the way to go.

And Jaegar + Cola, of course.

I don't quite understand why people ruin the taste of perfectly good alcohol with mixers. Just tastes foul to me.

A friend of mine ordered a Black Bush in a bar once, it arrived with coke in it. Can there be a bigger crime? Anyway he just stood up and walked out shaking with rage, I do believe he would have punched the barman if we had stayed.

On another note on a hot summers night I often join Hemingway and have a mojito.

That's almost like a Dark & Stormy (spiced rum & ginger beer), although it's terribly hard to find ginger beer unless one has a Total Wine, BevMo, or a source of gourmet soda nearby.
