So. Daystar. I only caught your forum title out of the corner of my eye as I scrolled, and I could've sworn it said "Now I'm Betrothed."

Who's the lucky one Daystar?

Nomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom.
We've heard of your inferior American chocolate, but it's never as good. The oil-ing problem is still present, and the flavour is always more dilute.

Well Daystar as much as I love these food threads, I believe you may actually be terribly misinformed on this topic. As good as I'm sure jaffa cakes are, they pale in comparison to Delicje, which are better, come in a nicer packaging, present nicer, and come in a lot more flavours.

That said both of these cookies (<- that is on purpose), pale in comparison to real deserts such as cheesecake, french flaky pastries or a personal guilty pleasure, a layer dish consisting of graham crackers in between whipped cream, pudding, and topped with jello and fruit.

Dark chocolate and oranges? No thanks.
There's the door!

[sub]Dark chocolate and orange indeed. Pfft.[/sub]
You see, Dark chocolate is quite obviously the worst of all chocolates. Its bitterness (probably what attracts all the brits to it) and lack of sweetness is what ruins it. Then, there's chocolate and oranges together, which is just a generally bad combination. :D
You're an American :D

I've had American chocolate.

You guys wouldn't know good chocolate if it bludgeoned your father to death and molested your pet ferret.
Clearly somebody has never known the greatness of white chocolate.
You mean the chocolate that has next to no chocolate in it?

Oh no? :D

Oh wow. I'm jealous, Britain. Your cakes look delicious.

Came in expecting a Stargate reference, too, and was pleasantly pleased.

It's alumiNIUM, NOT aluminUM. You damned 'Merican's just spelt it wrong and have dragged this on for hundreds of years rather than admit your mistake.

And THAT is why we have better sweets than you.

Finally I find one of the legendary Daystar food threads. I thought they were a myth.

I don't like Jaffa cakes or digestives.

That's the magic of JAFFA CAKES. A nom greater than the sum of its ingredients.

70% Cocoa
I get my chocolate from there regularly :D

Oh gods, they're so fucking good.
It's worth it as an expensive treat for your chocolate tastebuds.

Sometimes getting the random mix slabs is good fun as well. Mississippi Mud Pie, Choc Chip Cookie, Rocky Road.
I mean, look at it. It just says 'Eat me, eat me now.'

Look at me, I'm so delicious!
I've never bought anything from Hotel Chocolat before, and now I really, really want to. I wish I wasn't a poor student right about now...
