Jak and daxter MMO

So this is an idea I had an extremely long time ago. i was replaying the entire jak series and i noticed that a big world like this whould be great as an MMO. So i went on a quest that i whould make a post talking about my ideas on sites i go on. I completely forgot the escapist. As i just wrote that i realized some of you may take that as spam. Its not. So this is just a layout of ideas. i dont want to do it over so ime just going to copy and paste. Hooray for lazyness! So these are just ideas for classes and stuff. And the origonal stuff stops..... HERE



ok so i noticed sony has been working on a lot of mmos lately (ff14, the agency, free realms, demon soul, home etc). and after hearing about jak and daxter the lost fronteir i had a brainstorm. a jak and daxter MMO! you chould travel 2 like haven city or spargus and explore places like precurser temples and offshore islands like the pumping station from jak 2. i made a post like this on ign a long time ago but i forgot about it. ile just copy/ past my old post

there chould be two sides each with an enemey faction. like warhammer

good evil

humans vs. death bots
lurkers vs. metal heads
precurser dark eco beasts

(note this whould take place after the time jump so the lurkers are good because theyre slaves at the time and are rebeling).

humans: freedom fighters - demolition - dark ecoist - light ecoist
lurkers: brute - mechanic - beast tamer - flyer
precurser: preist - oracle - crusader - master

evil

death bots: senital - cyborg - drone - gunner
metal heads: shaman - hunter - beast - crab
dark eco beast: goblin - mech - terriformer - scout

locations

haven city (human capital)
misty island (lurker capital)
wasteland temple (precurser capital)
airship (death bot capital)
space station (dark eco beast capital)
swamplands (metal head capital)
dig site
blue sages area
red sages area
yellow sages area
spargus
the city from jak x (forgot the name)


so escapist thats an idea you can talk about. It took a long time to figure out some of the those clases. Please tell me your input.

Highly unlikely, but an interesting idea. I love the J&D series (just noticed that that's also a guitar series), and it would be fun, if only for the fans, cause it would be difficult to make it good.

While it's a good idea, where would this take place in the timeline? Because most of the bad guys are killed by Jak throughout, well, all of the games.

then their whouldnt be any rebels, deathbots, or metal heads. also their are cooler places in the future. if it gets made and then does well, mabye they chould do an expansion where you go through a rift gate to the past.

Yeah sure its a pretty big world, but it's still way too small for an MMO. I mean, I'm a fan of Jak and Daxter, but I probably wouldn't play that game. Plus Naughty Dog's too caught up in their little next-gen Drakes fortunes. T.T Must I be stuck in the last generation? Why can't people still make things for the PS2? T.T

Yes it would. there were already metal heads in Haven City before Jak and rebels. Instead of Deathbots you would have Baron Praxis and his forces.

I actually thought of something like this once, but I didn't really think it through as much. It actually does sound pretty cool when you describe it, but I'm not a big fan of MMOs.

I dunno. As a fan, I don't know whether to be ecstatic or horrified at this notion. On one hand, it would mean another Jak and Daxter game, and that's always a good thing. But on the other, there are many things that could go wrong. It would probably be made by another developer other than Naughty Dog, and while I heard that the same thing is happening with the next game, I still have doubts as to whether this is actually going to be GOOD. I've also found that with MMOs, you can't really have a lot of focus on plot, which to me is one of the series' main selling points (even surprisingly with Jak X). Sure, you can have your epic battles in that world, and that would be pretty cool, but it just wouldn't be the same without the dynamic duo.

i thought you ment like before they went into the future. like precurser legacy. i dunno. i like the freedom fighters better than crimson gaurds. and i dont think their were metal heads during the precurser legacy
