For those who haven't played all Jak & Daxter games, you should look away, cause this has spoilers all over it. Are they gone? Good.

So, I've been trying to figure out the exact timeline for Jak (aka Mar)'s progress in his life. Let's look more into it:

First off, in Haven City, when Jak is child, he is the son of Damas, who named him Mar. He ha an amulet that showed it. He is the one who built Haven City back long ago. Future Jak then saved him, and sent his younger self back in time. This is where The Precursor Legacy starts for young Mar.

Now, what I'm confused by, is that he is supposed to be the Mar (according to Ashley, Kor and possibly Damas, or else it would be a total plot destroyer), who built Haven City. But where and when did this happen? If he did it during his teenage years, I'd think he'd be more than a village boy wandering around doing favors for everyone. Then, after his teenage years, he traveled forth in time, where he met his younger self and the time circle gets rolling. This confuses me, cause how can he be in a city that he was supposed to build back in the past, when there's no indication that he ever did it? It's a space-time continuum fuck-up. Is it just me who missed it, cause I can't see any point in Jak's where he built an entire city and put a population there. Maybe he will travel back in time next game and build the actual city, cause of some space-time continuum shit that causes everyone to disappear, and he must travel back and build it to restore the status quo.

Jak was supposed to built the city but he fucked it up by sending himself to the future. The boy will grow up and make the city, not send himself into the future

Jak builds Haven City sometime after the end of Jak 3, and probably also after the events of Jak X. The Precursors take him back in time again to a point in between the times of Jak & Daxter and Jak II, and that's when he founds Haven City. (They even say that this is what they're going to do in the ending of Jak 3, but Jak obviously chooses not to leave just yet. That's the handy thing with time travel, it's not urgent now, because you choose when to go to)

I think they are gonna make one. Eventually. I think the titles called Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier

Initially, Naughty Dog hadn't had any future Jak games in the series, with only hints and comments providing clues to their decision. Co-President Evan Wells stated that the new technology in their Uncharted: Drake's Fortune engine may be used for a new Jak and Daxter trilogy, as well as saying that "there is a lot of interest around the office in going back to that franchise [Jak and Daxter] and seeing what we could do with it using the Uncharted engine." In mid 2006, more concrete details emerged when a trademark for an, apparently, possible future Jak and Daxter game was registered at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office called Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. Even later, several prototype game cinematics were also leaked onto the Internet featuring old and new game characters in unfamiliar situations (Jak has short-cut hair and, along with Daxter, is interacting with new allies and battling new foes).[1] However, Naughty Dog refused to comment on both. The videos had Jak and Daxter in a new area known as "the island" fighting a giant robot, and salvaging the parts for an inventor, that looked like an elderly Vin.

Naughty Dog did not show up at the E3 2008 convention or TGS 2008, leaving many uncertain of what they were doing. But in a recent IGN interview with Naughty Dog's Richard Lemarchand,[2] he explains that "You won't have to wait too long for [the big revelation]." and that "We are working hard on something, and we haven't just been resting on our laurels". In December 2008 it was revealed that Naughty Dog was working on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves[3].

Co President Evan Wells later appeared on the full moon show saying that Naughty Dog plans to go back to the Jak and Daxter series at some point, also saying the whole idea of another game sounds exciting but said that the animators seem to have gotten bored of drawing the characters, he also added that a lot of the crew didn't want to move on to Uncharted after Jak X. It was known that Naughty Dog planned to make Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier after Jak 3 but instead created Jak X, then decided to put their work on The Lost Frontier on hold while they work on Uncharted for the next few years.

On April 1, 2009, High Impact Games announced The Lost Frontier to be released simultaneously for the PlayStation 2 and the PSP some time during Fall 2009.[4] There is information on the PSP version on IGN. Most gamers had expected this game to be a PS3 game by Naughty Dog, however Naughty Dog is focusing on Uncharted 2. High Impact Games has worked closely with Naughty Dog in the development of this game.[5] It has been confirmed by IGN that The Lost Frontier will pick up right after where Jak 3 left off, meaning the game will be a midquel taking place after Jak 3 and before Jak X: Combat Racing

High Impact Games turned up for E3 2009 where they released a official trailer shown on the new PSP Go.

I hope they actually go release it on Ps2. That would kick ass

But then Jak won't exist in the future, unless we go into parallel dimensions. Also, Jak will still exist in the future, as even though he'd never go there, the idea of going back into the past would probably be built into jumping into alternate dimensions when you change the course of history, cause you can't disappear completely, only the person who travels will be affected. At least that's my theory when it comes to time travel.

When Jak 2 begins and they are flying through the vortex Samus(Right name?) says "Find yourself Jak.".

He meant for Jak to find his younger self. Jak didn't fuck it up was meant to be that way. Also its never clear that Jak is the true MAR! Damas says his son is named Mar but Damas used to be the king of Haven City, many times Kings name their sons after former Kings. So Jak could just be Mar the Second.

This one makes perfect sense

hmmmmmm but Jak was born in Haven city ? then traveled back in time to become a teenager then travleded forward in time to Haven City to send his younger self back then Jak 3 happens then Jak travels with the precursors back in time to build haven city where he is born..........

ya it actually doesn't mkae any sense at all !

Jak was born in Spargus City. He's Damas' son, remember. He was lost in the wasteland and found by Kor.

Also, worth noting in the final cutscene of Jak 3, Jak goes with the precursors to "become Mar", and he's wearing Mar's armour when he leaves, but not wearing it when he comes back, only a few seconds later.

They said they're too focused on Uncharted 2 right now, so they made it for PS2 and PSP. I'm a little skeptic to the game, after I saw the trailer. The graphics seem to have gone down a notch, there is some weird shit going around about reaching the brink of the world. Doesn't seem as deep and immersive as Jak II and 3.
