Oh wow. I agree, many of them are clearly tributes to classic mecha anime. I noticed one of them, for instance, mimics one scene from the opening of Xabungle.

Well it's still ugly, but I do like the fan repaint in red. Any idea why they built it to begin with, or did I miss that part.?

Good sir, I said nothing about Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket.

Don't worry, John. I am sure he will reach out to the sky someday as well.


Anyway, while I still think the original looks horrendous, the fan art is preety nice. I just hope the Chinese actually end up developing a cool-looking mecha eventually, even if it is a major ripoff. It is not like lookalikes aren't common in mecha shows and video games.

Mr. Funk, whilst I find we agree on most topics, belittling Gundam Wing is something I can never approve of... Especially when you could have chosen G Gundam or that one with the tiny self aware Gundams...

But I understand that old people tend to get caught up in nostalgia
