I could have sworn the title said Japanese Toilet Paper Claims 3G Support

Hm..
Oh well. I guess I'll just continue to dream then ;.;

OT- Sounds nifty..
Makes me wonder how many other things are we going to throw 3g into these days..

Toasters? Why the hell not.
How about a toilet that can flush a cellphone

If this is true it's nothing that makes the PSP2 more desirable than the 3DS. Unless it has a lower price tag than the 3DS (which I doubt it will) it looks like Sony will lose to Nintendo again.

there is no way they can pull off free 3G. Amazon has done it with the kindle but when you have people browsing the internet, downloading games and downloading much larger files when the thing is hacked 5 days after its released. well, thats a bill sony wont want to pay.
My droid smartphone has 3g, it's fast too, so why is this impossible? If it came equipped with the 3g speeds my Droid Incredible has, it would be more than enough. My Droid lets me download a file of any size I want, and it can handle it just fine.

Remember, Sony is MAKING the phone, they aren't the SERVICE PROVIDER, they aren't going to be building cell towers for these things.

It's just downloading content
Because they aren't talking about a phone, they're talking about a handheld game system. Having 3G on a phone is fine since your paying monthy to cover it, but on a handheld someone is gonna have to front the money for it, and as stated, that isn't a bill that sony is gonna want.
wait.....oh shit, I just reread the article, I thought they were talking about the PSPPHONE and that the PSPhone was basically going to be their PSP2, whoops my bad.

I still don't think it's impossible, it's just the Kindle on a larger scale, I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but I don't think it's absolutely idiotic at this point.

I was talking about the psp2 not the phone.
Yeah, I realized that when I responded to your other post, it was my bad, I misread the article.

I still don't think it's impossible, though I'm not sure if it's a smart move (probably isn't)

It isn't a bad idea at all, if they can find a good way to incorporate the cost. I seriously doubt Sony is generous enough to give out free 3G, but if they can make it cheap enough, or something like, buy a new game, get a month or two of free internet, it could be damn good.
