Well this is kinda pointless...
Everything that is awesome coming out of Japan doesn't have a point.

They built a fucking statue to an anime. I don't think they need a point to do anything anymore.

*Sigh*...Why does Japan get almost everything that would interest me when it comes to boring subjects?

That is definitely a way to get kids to pay attention in class. Especially visual learners. My girlfriend is a visual learner and after we started watching a historical parody series together, she's more apt to discuss world events with me because she can put a face to the name of the country. It just helps her to have that visual there for reference. This could greatly benefit those types of learners or those like me, whoa re tactile and learn better by doing.
I think it's safe to say I'd never leave school, ever, if they factored RPG elements into the curriculum of every class.

Seriously. Why has nobody embraced this method of teaching kids? It'd do wonders to combat the gradually decreasing intelligence of people these days.
There are teachers who embrace fun to learn. The best I ever did in school was 11th grade US history, because of my teacher, who made it fun, and really cared and was over all a great teacher and great person.
Learning about the assembly line was particularly fun and delicious.
(Plus I made a very dirty joke and only he got it and laughed hysterically)

The treasure is either a successful career later in life, or a sticker.
So... do they get tho choose which one they get?
I'd choose tha sticker! :D
Wouldn't anyone? :p

It's good to see roleplaying entering the mainstream. It's just too bad that this is Japan, which means it's largely insulated from our culture.

I need to get my ass to Japan!
Yo you need to fix dat sentence dog.
You're missing a 't' in 'chotto' and got an extraneous and unneeded 'wo' particle up in there. You be straight-trippin', G.

I wouldn't mind the career, but I'd take the sticker.

I mean, come ON, have you SEEN that sticker sheet? It's pretty sweet.
Nah, Japan hasn't yet discovered the scratch and sniff variety, the sticker'd be pretty crappy.

That's awesome, maybe if Bioware started making things for the educational system it would be conversation simulators of desperately attempting to explain to the teacher why you didn't do your homework.

I don't think any educational game will work out unless it is presented like a game. Just disguising a quiz with some character art isn't good enough.
