Now I don't know about you guys, but I could really get behind this Jediism thing. I know it sounds weird, but it looks pretty good to me. Your thoughts?

If it's something that really sounds like a good religion and/or philosophy on how to live, then by all means, go for it. ^_^
Here and there are points which are part of my religion, too...

I don't like jedi, I prefer sith. They get a bad rep but really the sith are the good guys, and throughout history the "sith" kinda people ended up causing more good change than the "jedi" kind of people. >.>

Sith, by my understanding, are the opposite side of the coin to the Jedi. While Jedi believe in detachment and a separation from emotion, Sith believe in embracing their emotions and everything that makes you, you. Sith embrace their anger hate and rage, as well as their love, compassion, and happiness. Sith philosophy isn't evil in itself, it's what you do with it.

No no no no, nope, uh-uh, not gonna happen, no...way.

This is a bad idea and I'll tell you why. You see, even skirting aside that this way of life allowed for galatic conquest by the bad guy...there is a problem which is more realistic and not pleasant. For you see, the people this will attract first is Star Wars fans. And not just people who like Star Wars, but people who are rabidly OBSESSED with Star Wars.

Try to imagine them flocking towards this site and making use of it. It will cause much trouble because of the Star Wars association with it. If they had brought forth this idealism without mentioning the franchise, you would get more people who would honestly like to follow it, and not just because it's cool.

No thanks, I'm already enough of a Star Wars nerd. I really don't need to jump off the deep end.

Besides, I find my current religion fulfilling enough.

[sub]I would be really tempted if membership came with a working lightsaber however.[/sub]

More power to you. Of course I'm going to start talking about episodes 1-3 to piss you off but if I let you do as you like you have to let me do as I like.

Not for me really. How can anyone take something seriously, knowing fully well it came from a movie!

We all know true knowledge and insight comes from books.

Which is why I worship Khorne, at the Church of the Immaterium.

nah. Sounds preposterous.

But if it convinces you to not be a douchebag in life, then great!

Personally I'll stay Roman Catholic and use logic to get through life. really there's no reason to name the way you live.

Oh and it's pulling random crap from a bunch of other philosophies to the point that you just need to know a little bit of world history to know everthing that it claims it has a uniqueness on.
