I think it's flat out pants on head retarded for anyone to care about the Metacritic score other than Nintendo. Like just period... God this must be how like people will kill someone for insulting their God or something.

side note, I do disagree with Jim's decision to make it a 7, I feel he kinda did that on purpose knowing the childish behavior the zelda clones were gonna give him when the thing is a solid 8.... but that's just me, I'm not annoyed by the stamina meter (I haven't even upgraded the damn thing.

He's got a point about the weapon breaking mechanic. I don't mind that the weapons break, but it annoys the piss out of me that I can't repair them ala Fallout 3. Actually you know what really annoys me? I picked up a Korki Leaf and you can not throw that sucker away, so I was forced to fight with a leaf for the past hour of gameplay to get it out of my inventory.

Actually? It's not that bad of a weapon, but it has an annoyingly high resistance to breaking and it is a leaf.

Honestly I just find it hilarious. The pathetic insecurity is absolutely laughable to me. Because how cripplingly insecure do you have to be to be such a devoted fan of a thing that anyone saying it's less than perfect is considered some hideous evil that needs to be actively assaulted, just because they didn't like a thing as much as you like that thing?

No, not at all. This was a reference to my earlier post, which essentially said that out of the above three, the one that has apparently upset gamers the most is the last one.

You know you can drop weapons manually from the inventory screen right? You don't actually have to throw them.

If I'm completely honest, I've never enjoyed a Zelda game. I'm not sure what it is but I just can't seem to get into them and enjoy them... granted I haven't had a chance to play BotW yet, however, if it's similar to older versions then I won't enjoy it.

That said, even if I don't quite enjoy a game, I can certainly see why they got the scores they did. I can see why OoT is listed as one of, if not then THE greatest game of all time but I just don't seem to enjoy it. However, many people have said the same for genre's and games I like but I don't go over the top, I rationally explain why I like it and if they still don't like it then that's that... doesn't mean I have to attack them for not agreeing with what I think is amazing.

This reminds me of the time a reviewer gave Fallout 4 a good review but not stellar. Then another publication jumped in and tried to trash the reviewer while sat there with Pipboys on their arms. (For the life in me I cannot remember the deatils other than it made for entertaining reading at the time)

If you have a franchise that is as loved as Zelda then the fanbase will be pretty crazy to go long with it.

We know that this shit happens. I fervently condemn the frankly terrible reactions of obsessive Fallout fanatics that mirror or overshadow this kind of reaction. They are terrible people. We know it happens, but we're not suppose to accept that this happens. It is wrong behavior, embarrassing to other fans and insulting to the hard-working people who created the thing.
