Jimquisition was good?!?

Well, I had never heard of the Jimquisition until when he (fairly recently) joined the sites video section, I had watched his first few episodes (opening theme is what brought me back lol) and completely dismissed him as an un-entertaining. he had not brought a laugh out of me once. Anyways I looked him up found some of his older work which was posted on youtube by Destructoid, and damn it is actually pretty good stuff here is a link to the one called "Hey Zelda fans, STFU" Don't worry I am a Zelda fan and was not offended in the least

You might like to check him out again, He's toned down his egotistical persona since no one got the satire of the episodes, and everyone thought he was just that big a dick. I really enjoy them, although I have also seen a few of his earlier stuff, and I have to say they were a lot more interesting and informative than his Escapist videos so far, check out the vid he did on game reviewing, and the companies trying to influence him.

I have checked out his recent vids, he is going in a good direction from where he was when he first came to escapist, not to the point of his older youtube videos, but I put this post up just so *hopefully* people can give him a second chance.

I can't stomach the videos. Jim himself offers nothing but faux sexism and an inane, shallow facade that he routinely points at and says "look at me. I'm awesome and you suck. But not really. But yeah! Hahahaha." His Twitter postings are a further reflection on his shallow character.

Note to Jim: pretending to be a sexist ass with a god complex is no more funny than being a sexist ass with a god complex. That and the whole deal with "if you act like a dick long enough you'll become one."

Wow, these were pretty funny. I admit I've watched a few of his episodes here on the Escapist, and I just thought they were ok. I understood the hate, I understood the praise, and I was just sort of in the middle. He didn't exactly color me a fan, but the two videos I watched in this thread were both pretty funny.

he is getting better, he did the same thing bulletstorm did in the first few episodes: given people no reason to believe he was not being straight and then calling people out on it.

He's entertaining and often makes good points. I think it's hilarious that people get offended by his method of delivery. The guy can't be that much of an obvious trolololol person in real life.

I don't know, not my favorite contributor on the site by far but certainly better than other series that have been here.
