Great review, although the picture for Kaine reminded me way too much of X-Blades' protagonist, which probably isn't a good thing. I only heard about this game thanks to ZP anyway, so I think I'll check it out now.

Kaine is not used as some cheap sex icon who's constantly bending over or doing provocitve stretches (Lara Croft), always eating lollipops (Bayonetta) and she never speaks in a seductive tone (Any DOA character). I'm not that far...but here we go. I just met Kaine and fought off a giant monster with her. After double jumping past hordes of enemies to deliver a "fragile package" and speak with some village elder guy who hates me. (I was successful at the delivery, btw! Though, with the spears, the one problem I had is that they became a bit over powered. The best weapon I used, I bought from Facade (the Desert city. Not sure if you're there yet) and it does almost 500 damage, so I can cut down even the biggest enemies in about 3 hits.
And there's a save point in about every city, so I didn't think it was so bad.

Really? I didn't catch that. Maybe it's the bosses. They're all massive in size and can fuck you up but it's still no where near the same gameplay.Korten12 said:
