I, like many people who are a skilled graduate yet will use the summer as an excuse to do nothing, have now got a few job interviews coming up. Scary ones, for important companies who only want the best and the brightest and cannot be fooled so easily into thinking I can totally do that.

So in an effort to prepare for an interview tomorrow, please post the inane, unusual or unexpected questions that you have been completely blindsided with before so that when me and all those like me are sat in front of those scary looking professionals they can't ask us something that just draws a big "Uuurrrrrr?". Or funny stories of good or bad things that have happened in interviews, in an effort to make them less daunting.

My worst was for a cyber security job, "Can you give an example of a URL?" I know many URLs, and for any I don't know I know the URL for Google so I can find them. Yet for what in reality was about 10 seconds yet felt like about a year, all I could think of was porn. Porn, porn, porn. Finally http://www.penny-arcade.com came into my head and I just leapt on it. He did not look impressed.

Hah, cool, great timing :D

I just got a call back today from an interview a few days ago, telling me that I've got the job.

I tend to get blind sided by a lot of questions, really, not even the ones that are that difficult :D

I've only ever had one job interview.

The employer and I ended up chatting about baseball for the majority of it. Suffice to say that the interview went well, and I found myself employed shortly thereafter.

From the million courses I have been on about getting a job, from interview techniques to where to look, I am safe in the knowledge that I can answer pretty much any interview question.

You either have to make the company sound like the perfect company ever and working there would be your dream job OR you cure cancer while feeding the baby dolphins and you only do that when your not treating every soul you come across like royalty and you're lucky to be in there presence. It also helps if light really does shine out of your arse ....

Also listen out for the phrase "give me an example of ..." 'cos they want you to explain something. Such as "give me an example of time you gave good customer service" you don't say "I always give good service".
