I think this is a joke. No one is dumb enough to sue EA of all companies for source code used back in the 80's. He has no patent, and unless it was in his contract (garenteed it isn't) any work he may have done belongs to the company. not him.

So, they've been using coding from 1988? That explains so much.
Left 4 Dead and Modern Warfare are both based on the original Quake engine to some degree. So yeah, I can buy that.

This is a funny situation. I would LOVE to see him win the case and be awarded 4 billion dollars. That amount of money would make this guy go crazy. He could ride a giraffe down the centre of any town in the world wearing a suit made out of puppies and nobody would question why...it would be like
"Hey look its that guy who is really rich"
"good for him"

According to Antonick, the development deal he signed with EA back in 1986 entitles him to royalties from all derivative works of his code

So unless he is lying he has it in the contract

So EA sports copying and pasting their code every year is news to this guy?

EA Sports Game - Game made in the 90's, released every year, with a roster update.

If he is the one to be blamed for starting EA Sports down this horrible path then I hope he gets his just desserts.

So he wants a cut of the pie because he helped develop 10 plus years ago? Is his code recognisable in any of the current itertions?
