That crap Adobe keeps trying to shove down my throat every time I download Flash/Acrobat? Left it checked once by mistake, caused my computer to glitch, stutter, freeze and shut down repeatedly until I looked through my error logs and found the shit in my applications list. It's done more damage than viruses to me.

Covarr

PS Thanks

Yeah, McAfee's antivirus software is pretty crap these days... but back when John McAfee was actually still with the company, and still personally working on the software (up until 1994) it was actually pretty solid. The man's a good programmer, but those who have replaced him are less so.

P.S. Thanks

McAfee is an interesting combination of brilliant & bat-shit crazy. I kinda love him for that

At this point, I put nothing past the man.

This guy makes me like him more and more, something I wasn't sure could happen after his bath salt video.

That said I think there's basically no chance that this will work/ever be created at all, but I'd be happy to eat my words.

Right, so he hasn't built it yet, but once he has, it'd be totally secure against any zillion dollar government agencies.

Ah huh.
Government agencies like the NSA are woefully inept when it comes to cybercrime.

There are stories of government systems going down for days at a time because some punk kid made a computer virus that crashed their shit.
If you know anything about hacking a computer then you know that offense is way easier than defense. It does not matter what tools you are running or what OS you have, someone with enough time and money will get in if they want.

It sounds interesting but a little silly I mean if it works and is exactly what he says it is sure maybe I'll get it but I'm going to wait a little while to see what happens if it comes out

So that means If McAfee wants to fight The Man he needs a spear instead of a shield?

And thus begins the Great Hack War of 2014...

as the underdogs in this war, we should appreciate any allies that emerge. even if they aren't the most reliable available. plus he's amusing. i'm glad he's on our side.
