Left it checked once by mistake, caused my computer to glitch, stutter, freeze and shut down repeatedly until I looked through my error logs and found the shit in my applications list. Yeah, McAfee's antivirus software is pretty crap these days... but back when John McAfee was actually still with the company, and still personally working on the software (up until 1994) it was actually pretty solid. The man's a good programmer, but those who have replaced him are less so.
