Johnny Depp drops in on students

I feel that this makes Johnny Depp one of the most awesome people ever. He's already really well known for being highly accommodating to his fans, but he took it a step further here.

It got me thinking though, about how important it is for celebrities to be courteous and friendly. What do you think about the way he treats his fans? Is it too much or not enough?

Personally I think he goes above and beyond here.

It's quite commendable, though I wouldn't go so far as to say it is necessary.

Many celeb's treat people who, though they may only have a passing interest and not actually BE major fans, like shit.

Lucky kid. I think celebrities should do stuff like this occasionally, or at least attempt to have a good relationship with fans. But if they did it all the time, then it wouldn't seen as special.

Vaguely related example - I wouldn't think that many people on the Escapist have watched the music video for Justin Bieber's song 'U Smile' but in the beginning to the video, from what I understand, he bumps into a group of fans, and takes photos with them. That's fine. Then I think he asks one of the girls to meet him back there at a certain time. Seriously, Justin Bieber? Now every single teenage fangirl will think they have a chance to be with you.

Katy Perry crashed my brother school's formal. She could not have picked a worse school.
