I'm just gonna throw out a couple of jokes that are truly boring to me, in the hope that some people here might take it to heart, and stop using them.

1. Any jokes about the second amendment.

Yeah, I know, the first time you hear "the right to bear arms, at least it isn't the right to arm bears", or see some picture thereof, it's worth a giggle. But everyone has already made the joke. Please, just stop. Reusing material from the 90s isn't clever.

2. "I need to get a haircut" "Oh, which one? Fnar"

Good god. I've heard this joke about fifteen times these past two weeks. Wasn't funnyy the first time.

What about you, fellow escapists? Any jokes that just make you want to tear your hair out?

"Your mom" jokes. They are so boring that I feel like just leaving whenever someone says them.

Anything referencing cake.

C'mon, people. It was funny in Portal, but you're not Portal are you?

"Why so serious" - I dont dislike the line, its just bastardised as all hell by most of its users.

Anything and everything to do with Chuck Norris.
Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't used on a daily basis, though.

The kind of jokes comedians make that are pretty good in and of itself and that crack people up.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't have any problem with jokes you can laugh at and with the first time, but some people (read: everybody) have this extreme urge to copy whatever is funny and popular, too many times over. (since they don't care to be creative with their "sense" of "humour").

I don't know how this is in other countries, but people tend to act that way where I'm from (the Netherlands).

When people try to describe visual comedy.
I know some guys that read webcomics (myself included), but they will occaisionally try and drop the a relevent comic into conversation. The timing of the joke just gets completely thrown off.

Also, 90% of quoting comedy is bad. Taking something that was funny somewhere, and taking it out of context rarely works. There are certain situations, when the planets align and someone will quote something in a way that is witty in itself, however as a general rule, don't do it.

I got over any sortof "random" comedy when I was about 13. Its just not witty.

Finally... in jokes, to outsiders. That almost goes without saying, but I hate it when I'm with people and something along the lines of "hey Joe...THOSE AREN'T MY SPORKS!". This is basically a combination of random humor and taking things out of context.

Monty Python quotes, I mean, I love the films and the flying circus but the quotes are completely overused. Another "we are the knights who say Ika-ika-pentang-uley" or "you shall not count to 2 unless then procceding to 3" and I shall commit murder.

I'm sorry but... "Pijnboompit, Pijnboompit. Liggend kun je poepen, maar t'gaat beter als je zit."

Inside joke, sorry, everyone.

I don't like jokes that are repeated over and over. Running jokes are fine as long as they are good to begin with.

Yer Mom~ jokes are the one I hate.

But I am caught using 'that's what she said.' a lot.

Oy... Saw that movie 11 times... I can quote it entirely.

But you didn't mention The Flying Circus! "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

"Cake" jokes, "your mom" jokes, "thats what she/he said", Jeff Dunham quotes, and worse; when people see a movie with a good joke and then goes about and tells that joke every 5 seconds for a month...

Worst still tho, and it's a Jeff Dunham thing; Achmed the Dead Terrorist jokes... That thing was funny a couple of times, I'm so sick about everyone thinking its the best work of comedians-art ever!

Any "A guy, another guy and a third guy" joke that either
-doesn't take place in a bar.
-extends past four sentences.

Not overused, but still boring. I have a tolerance for overuse though.
If I had to pick a commoner, I'd go with the cake joke. It's not even funny, at least your mom jokes can be good for a laugh every once in a while.
